Dr. Change was my physician for approximately 5 years. He never discovered my heart murmur. Two physicians immediately discovered the heart problem. When I went to him because of a significant weight loss, he prescribed lab tests, which I was informed came back indicating no particular problems. Five months later Dr Chang's replacement found the weight loss disturbing and subsequently found lung cancer and liver cancer.

About the best Dr I've ever been to. Dr Chang listens to all my concerns and questions. He's thorough in testing and follow-up. I'm a complex case and I feel very well taken care of. Appointments are never rushed. A great doctor that I highly recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Chang for a couple of years now. I highly recommend him. He's knowledgeable, thorough, and with a great bedside manner. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions and never makes me feel rushed. I'm a complicated health patient and he takes the time to work through everything. He also acts as my primary doctor in my team of 8 other specialists and follows/oversees everything they do for me. An absolutely wonderful physician and person!

As a new patient in an HMO, I was learning the system of primary care physicians, etc . The learning curve was steep. Dr. Alan Chang has been a pillar of knowledge and so helpful in leading the way for me. I am very thankful for Dr. Chang's direction, wisdom, compassion and rapport.

Excellence is the only way to describe Dr. Chang. Through blood tests and other tests he recently and accurately pinpointed two serious health issues I was not aware of. Worsening Heart Failure and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Very caring and explains what is going on with my health.

The blood under the skin of the arm was the size of a dime four hours ago. It is now the size of a quarter. I don't know what to do.

My wife and I love this doctor. He cares about our health. He is knowledgeable and a good listener. We have been happy with Dr. Chang being or personal doctor for over 25 years.

I had the pleasure of meeting & training under Dr. Alan Chang over @ Sharp Rees Stealy in Rancho Bernardo while employed there for a short period of time early in the year 2016. While assisting him, he is the kindest, very well-mannered and have a great deal of respect for his patients & his staff. He continued to be patient with me despite of my mistakes, never humiliated me (unlike this Asian lady doctor next to his office) and he never made me feel less of a person/nurse. Althought my family is covered under Scripps Healthcare, I convinced my elderly parents to switch over to Sharp Healthcare during Medicare open enrollment so they can be under Dr. Chang's care but unfortunately, we just learned that Dr. Alan Chang is no longer with Sharp Healthcare. Sharp Healthcare lost one of it's greatest physicians.
