Brian Meyerhoff's Online Review Report Card

Meyerhoff has been our personal physician for over 15 years.  The night before last my wife fell and broke her arm.  The next day I called Graybill to leave a message with Meyerhoff about the situation.  No needs, just to let him know.  I waited for over 45 minutes on hold before reaching a real person.  Now, I don't know about anyone else, but when I call someone my "Personal Physician" I kind of expect that I should be able to get leave a message in a timely manner.  Meyerhoff used to be that way.  I could call and within minutes I would be speaking to a member of his staff.  Not anymore.  So Brian, this is goodbye.  I'm off to find a doctor who was present on the day the his teachers addressed the "Patient/Doctor" relationship.

Dr. Meyerhoff is the best diagnostician we've encountered. He's kind and thorough. He calls us at home and follows up. He has called us on days he's out of the office. He may not be "Mr Warm & Fuzzy" but he is extremely competent and cares about his patients. Our previous physician passed away about 20 years ago and he referred us to Dr. Meyerhoff. We are very grateful for that referral!

Dr. Meyerhoff is a very caring & competent physician. He always patiently answers all of my questions and I always feel confident that he very thorough. I highly recommend him

I have been seeing Dr. Meyerhoff for over 7 years and continue to be impressed by his thoroughness and care. He diagnosed and successfully treated a condition which was undiagnosed by my previous physician. I especially appreciate that he does not immediately jump to medications if more conservative treatments like physical therapy might be helpful. A very good listener who addresses any questions or concerns the patient might have.

Extremely poor bedside manner. Refused to look at or review compilation of previous labs and diagnoses from some of the most brilliant medical minds in the world, or acknowledge symptoms of cancer and paraneoplastic syndrome. Did a slop job ordering a med. Highly dismissive. Refused to look at soft tissue masses or acknowledge progressive paralysis. These behaviors are even more dangerous when the patient is elderly.

I have seen Dr. Meyerhoff for many years. I am not the best patient, but he is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced doctors I have ever been to. Other doctors have told me that he is the doctor that "they" go to... high praise, indeed. While he will not sit and talk about my hobbies or children, he listens to my medical concerns, and uses his strong medical skills to accurately diagnose my issues. If you want a highly intelligent doctor whom you can confidently count on for proper diagnosis and care, he is an excellent choice. I moved away, but am making the 1.5 hour drive to see him for my care.

I called the office today leave a message for a physician in regards to a prescription. I received a call back from Dr. Meyerhoff. His  manner over the phone was impatient, unconcerned and came across annoyed by the idea that he would need to look through pages of medical records in order to assist in the situation. Based on this impression, I'll be sure and not schedule an appointment with him should our primary physician be unavailable. This is not what I expected from a physician with so many years of experience. Disappointing.

I have been with Dr Meyerhoff for many years and my wife as well.The staff is always nice and helpful.  The Dr is thorough and concerned as well as pleasant to be with.  Everything you need for great health care and a top notch experience.

Found him to have poor bedside manner, unfriendly and very clinical. Does not listen. He may be a very good doctor, but I felt like he had an instant dislike for me and just went through motions. Already found another doctor.
