List of Paul V. Polishuk's Reviews
Greatly appreciate the down to earth discussion of health issues, speed of service, and the overall pleasant and supportive nature of Dr. Polishuck and the entire nursing and office staff. Having to go to doctors isn't typically a positive starting place, but the support and kindness at this office really stands. I am grateful for their support.
DO NOT SEE THIS DR. Their office treated me like a junkie and told me i didnt have a kidney stone. I originally saw him the friday before July 4th weekend. I asked for some medicine to help with pain for the long weekend before my ultrasound that following Tuesday. HE FORGOT to cal in my medicine and i was in horrible shape from this pain i was in. I called their office the next pen business day which was Tuesday after the 4th of July and the office staff said it takes 2 days to review his chart notes. BULLSHIT. All he did when he saw me was doodle over my name in 0 concern when he showed me my XRAY of a 1 CM kidney stone. I REFUSE to see these people again. More Doctors and more tests later i found from my primary dr after doing a CT scan i have a 1 CM kidney stone that Dr. polishuk MISSED. HOW THE HELL DO YOU MISS THAT? They looks at my Ultrasound on my kidney and said i dont have a kidney stone go see pain management. I said bullshit DO NOT TREAT ME LIKE A JUNKIE. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.
DO NOT recommend. He was doodling on a piece of paper the entire time of my appointment and showed me a cluster of kidney stones and acted as if it was nothing and forgot to send in my medications that i was without for 3 day holiday weekend and suffered for 4 days. He does not do this in a professional and timely manor. Him and his office staff.
This doctor should either quit practicing or give up his license! My elderly mother was his patient and had a history of UTI's. I made an appointment for her with him and we were 5 minutes late because of traffic. He was supposed to check her for stones but the receptionist said that he would not see her because of being 5 minutes late! I was flabbergasted. Unfortunately my elderly mother ended up dying because of a 8 mm kidney stone that he would have seen if he had done the test!!!!! Horrible, horrible man🤬😡🤬😡🤬😡
I tried to schedule an appointment as a self pay cash patient but the receptionist said no. She said she had the doctor look over his chart and over the phone he said no go somewhere else? My dad needs urgent care he was coming directly from the hospital which dr paul has access to and he made his diagnosis over paper work. The receptionist was no help at all in fact very rude. I can only imagine if I was even offer an appointment how the visit would have been. No heart.
I had an appointment with this urologist 2 times. The first time he ordered a Kub and there were some small calculi in my left kidney. So I told him that I had a history of 15 stones in 35 years. So he said I should follow up in six months or if I have pain we would do a CT. When I called to schedule my six month appointment I asked if the doctor would order a kub since I have a history of stones. I have had lithotripsy numerous times. The receptionist asked me if I had pain or blood in my urine and I replied no. So she indicated to me then no kub. I came in to see the doctor and he had a small piece of paper he was taking notes on. I told him that I had really wanted to make sure I didn’t have a stone lingering so I could avoid the pain. I told him about having the 15 stones in the past and he said “ oh you have had stones???” I was very upset that he didn’t have info in my history. Needless to say he didn’t seem interested in me. My doctor, Thomas Jones retired and so I thought Dr. Polischuk was the answer .
Dr P. is an amazing doctor. Thank you for taking great care of my hubby!
This guy has zero bedside manner and zero patient education skill, which result in extremely poor service. I wasn't asked any questions to guide them to give me the correct information, neither was I explained what my supposed new condition was, which I found very unprofessional. The burden was on me to ask the correct questions to understand what it was about. Then, after 3 questions, he decided my time was up (after 3 minutes) and he left without even saying good bye or asking if I had any other question. No need to say that I left more confused than when I came in. When doing more research online after the appointment, I found everywhere that "if I'm already doing this and that, then I should see my urologist to get more information" ... well, I didn't get a chance to expose my situation because he was so rushed to go make more money. I guess I'll have to visit another doctor. Thank you for wasting my time and money. What a scam. At least the ratings of this place speak for themselves, I'll tell my doctor to stop recommending this place. On a more positive note, staff and nurses where great people. Only doctor should have done a business school if he didn't care about people. My rating: Avoid at all cost and find a real urologist.
I just had a telemedicine call with Dr. Polishuk who treated me for a stone that was stuck in my Ureter years ago. I have another stone and I’m not as scared as I was during my first episode. Dr. Polishuk is extremely knowledgeable and yet personable. I have complete confidence in his abilities as a Urologist. And he is affiliated with the new Palomar Hospital which had high ratings in all areas including patient surviving rates. I highly recommend this Physician for anything pertaining to Urology!
This Dr. is so unprofessional. I am 7 months pregnant and waited two months for an a appointment with Dr Polishuk my OBGYN asked me to make due to complications being pregnant. When he came into the room he called me by the wrong name and said a male dr referred me. I said no, my dr Is X and my name is X. He didn't even look at my chart before he came into the room. He yelled WELL WHO ARE YOU??? Then abruptly got up and had to go look at my chart. When he came back in he clearly didn't review why I was referred to him and did not listen when I tried explaining my history. All this all happened within 1 1/2 minuets ( half the time of this he was gone getting my actual chart) When he came back into the room I tried telling him my medical history to fill him in he handed me a pamphlet for kidney stones and told me to drink water. He didn't want to listen to what my issue I was there for was. I said so this appointment is not going anywhere if your not willing to look at my chart or listen. I walked out to the front desk and said please dump my urine sample and please do not charge my insurance. This was not a proper appointment and he refused to look at my chart before spending time with me. The next day I called for my $100 back they make you put as a deposit for their billing department and to make sure he didn't call my insurance to get money for an appointment he didn't even complete. Well he sure did bill for the appointment I now I have to submit a form and go through a whole process to fight to get my money back. I was told he put in his notes he spent a significant amount of time with me and he said it was a full appointment, wow thats funny because he didn't even have the right chart or know my name!!! This is horrible customer service, especially to do to someone while pregnant. He has horrible bedside manner as Dr. and I do not recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
