Robert Stein's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Stein installed my pacemaker and set the device as if I was a 90+ y/o. I couldn't do very much as my device would limit my heart rate and limit me as a 42 y/o. My first appointment, the Dr. asked if I had insurance, I did not. he then left the room and as I was talking to him he walked to another patients room and closed the door in my face. he was rude and unprofessional. I struggled to get my pacemaker settings adjusted. Not until six years later when I found Dr. Manish Wadhwa did I get the professional cardiology care I needed. thumbs down on Dr. Stein and his ethic's.

Dr Stein was the hospitalist assigned to my conservatee aged 70, who was hospitalized in the Palomar Gero/psych unit. He called me repeatedly telling me I needed to change her code status from full code to no code while there were no medical issues causing her any type of pain. Per the charge nurse of the unit, he did no tests nor left any notes to cause one to think there was any medical or ethical reason to change the status other than he thought there was no reason to do anything to help her live. He also made calls to her daughter to attempt to have her chage the code status

First, I want to thank you for your help as my husband and I were waiting for Emergency to decided my fate. We've spent a lot of time in ER's in the past ten years.Your calm discussion was a first and we appreciated the information we rarely got in the past. You and Dr. Asgari were a great team. I haven't found a way to send a note to Dr. Asgari, who spent as much time as I needed Friday and sent me home! This was my husband's first visit with Dr. Stein.  My husband does not like to wait for a doctor, when he has a specific appointment scheduled.You do have to wait...but the doctor spends a lot of time with you.  This was a first visit.   Dr. Stein takes time to go over medical history, do an exam and provide suggestions.  His staff was also very helpful

Dr. Stein has been accurate with all his diagnosis. He uses data accurately in his diagnosis.

I would not recommend this physician. He nor his staff demonstrated no concern nor attention to patient. Given all the requested information and in spite of sincere efforts made by patient the Dr. and his staff didn't seem to care. As care givers they failed miserably.

Waited over an hour multiple times for scheduled appt. Rushed thru appt. Trouble getting refills processed. Overall a poor experience.

He is very knowledgeable. He answers all of my questions fully. He sometimes gets hung up on an emergency, but in the 15 or so years he has been my doctor, I have only had to reschedule an appointment once due to an emergency.

spends much time talking and explaining everything..very interested in you personally, very accomodating on an individual level. have had him for years. he's the best..
