Sharon Sternfeld's Online Review Report Card

I have been to this pediatrician several times with my Grandson and daughter. She is inquisitive and extremely smart with all she recommends whether routine or challenging situations. I applaud her no nonsense belief in vaccinations. It is not fair to blame the doctor that is following their oath to do no harm when needing to convince ill informed parents about THE TRUE SCIENCE FOR RIGHTFUL VACCINATIONS DUE TO PUBLIC AND PRIVATE HEALTH ISSUES. PLEASE VACCINATE IT SAVES LIVES.

The worst pediatric visit ever. Dr. Sternfeld is an alarmist and treats the patient/family with little respect. She demonstrates a bully mentality. It seems she enjoys frightening the family and when asked to explain she back tracks and changes the story. I advise if Dr. Sternfeld is the physician on call, wait & go urgent care. I will NEVER allow my child to be treated by Dr. Sternfeld again. Beware!

Ms. Sternfeld should be selling icecream and not be a doctor. She misinformed us of current laws about parent access to medical records and threw cancer scare around to sell vaccines. I was shocked by her claims and statements . She being "smarter than all other humans" just looked at me like i was an oaff. If she did 1/2 as much research as listening to pharma reps. She stood a chance at using her phd in a useful way. Not ever seeing her again. Neither should you.

I absolutely love taking my kids to go see Dr. Sternfeld! She is sweet, funny, understanding and very attentive whenever we need her. I have a 15 and a half year old son and an 11 month old daughter and she is incredibly well versed on all aspects and developmental stages of pediatrics as far as I have seen. She has gone above and beyond for my family on several occasions including returning after hours calls. She genuinely cares about all her families and little patients.

I have taking my special needs son to Dr. Strenfeld for over 3 years now and I could not be happier with the care that she provides.

She has been my granddaughter's doctor since birth. Excellent care.

Dr. Sharon is the best! She is so fun and nice and professional in the same time. I have an autistic son and applying for lots of think for him and always need dr agreement so she would allwYs help! Thank you a lot! Defenetly recomende

This is a review on Dr. Sternfeld. I have officially filed a complaint regarding my experience with her. This was the most traumatizing experience I've every had with a "Doctor". I usually bring my son to Dr. Coullahan who is educated, kind, and understanding. Since she was out on vacation so I saw Dr. Sternfeld and I couldn't have been more disappointed!! I brought my 18 month old son in because he had been tugging at his ear and we had recently had found mold in our new home. I wanted to be sure I was taking the right precautions since he was exposed. She left me waiting in the Doctors Room for almost 40 minutes, with a toddler!!!!! She entered cold and emotionless. As soon as she looked at the chart and saw that my son had whooping cough at 6 months old she asked me if I had vaccinated him since then. When I explained our family had made the EDUCATED decision to choose no vaccinations, she flipped. I understand that this is a controversial issue, but I KNOW that we made the BEST decision. End of story. Regardless of her "beliefs" she has no right to refuse care to an innocent child. She didn't even care about my son! She sternly attacked me...She said the following...1. That I was not welcome at the facility because of our choice.(What!?! So the only way I am welcome is if I pay you to inject my child with substances that can potentially damage his immune system and neurological development. NO MORE BULLYING)2. That my son and I should be walking around with masks and we always have to enter the "sick" side.(What!?! So because my son is not vaccinated he is sick, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. If your vaccinations works so well than what are you so scared of)3. She attacked my choice as a parent and told me I wasn't protecting my child.(How dare she! How dare you say that to me. I am a MOTHER! My life revolves around protecting my son, especially from people like you who don't have his best interest at hand)4. She then began to "diagnose" my son with pertussis AGAIN without even examining him. He didn't even cough she just took it upon herself to make the diagnosis. This blew me away! (BTW my son didn't have WC again)(I saw my son go through WC, I know what it is, what it sounds like, the progression of the cough, etc.) Why would I take him out and put other children at risk. I actually care about children.)5. After being harassed she said, well I'll go ahead and take a look at his nose.(His nose?!?!?! Did you even read the chart? I came in for his ear and to ask about the mold exposure)At that point I lost it. I couldn't believe what had happened. You take your child for true CARE. This is so tragic. Our medical system has turned health into vaccination injection. That is not what HEALTHY is. It's time to wake up and take care of our children.I hope and pray that Sharon realizes her lack of professionalism that day. I will be choosing another health care provider and facility.By the way my son is healthy and THRIVING:)

I am a foster parent and have taken multiple babies to this office and seen several different doctors. All of them are very good, but Dr. Sternfeld is our favorite. She listens to everything we have to say and doesn't dismiss any of it as unimportant. When something isn't a cause for worry, she explains why. She always explains what's she looking for, what indications she sees (or doesn't see), and what she's going to recommend/prescribe and why. She explains things very clearly without being condescending. She clearly values parental reporting, saying that we know our babies best, so if we think there's something wrong, we're probably right. She also knows Medi-Cal and WIC like the back of her hand, which is a huge help for us. When biological parents have attended appointments with her, she has deftly handled the potentially fraught situation, giving equal attention to everyone in the room, making sure that everyone understands what she's saying, and affording everyone equal respect. I enjoy having her on my "team" of people taking care of babies, and I have complete trust in her medical skills. This pediatric care group is very busy, so we do usually wait 15-30 minutes (waiting room + exam room), but everyone on staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly, the space is clean and pleasant, and the nurses are all fantastic. Also, they are affiliated with Rady Children's Hospital, so when our babies have needed specialists or hospitalization, all the information transfers seamlessly. The care we get is so good that we don't mind waiting a bit!
