Loc Tan Nguyen's Online Review Report Card

My elderly parents who have chronic health conditions were being seen by Dr Loc Nguyen. He painstakingly attends to their health needs. He takes his time and never was in a rush with them. As their caregiver, he gets me involved with their treatment plans, answers questions and patiently explains everything. He is very knowledgeable in his field, competent, very compassionate and treats his patients as members of his family. He is the best primary care provider that my parents ever had. He would do an extra mile to help us with our needs. The office environment is a reflection of how Dr Nguyen treats and trains his staff. They are the most courteous, friendly and always ready to assist most especially his medical assistant Angelica who is very competent and dependable. I give Dr Loc Nguyen a 5- star excellent service!

Dr. Nguyen is wonderful! His staff also care very much. He really looks at the whole picture of a person and is extremely compassionate - great people skills. Beyond that, his medical advice and efforts have been spot on for me (catered, reasonable, considerate of my goals/needs, and beneficial). He has brought me through some tough times and I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Loc Nguyen is the best doctor that I ever have in my life. I feel so sad that he moved from the clinic to another department (Care Transition) of the hospital. I wish he still work at the clinic. Now, I am terrified to find a new doctor.

Truly a blessing to have switched to Dr Nguyen! Was not pleased with my last doctor whatsoever and definitely liking the change!. He's companionate, understanding, thorough, explains everything and makes sure you understand. Love that he writes everything down and even draws some pictures which helps with us visual learners. Very pleased... hopefully he doesn't leave!

l am 80 years old and have had lots of Doctors and lots of problems. Started going to Dr Nguyen about a year ago. He's has addressed every problem and helped me. The smartest man I have ever met.

Dr. Nguyen is very thorough. He asks question and then completely explains everything. He likes to make sure you feel comfortable with the information, because he makes he part of the treatment plan. I never felt like I was rushed during my appointment. It seems like he and his staff do not overbook like other doctors. Very knowledgeable doctor.

Brilliant, Compassionate, kind, funny, professional physician.I am shocked to read the review by Janet B. because I think it is unfair and unjust to judge Dr. Nguyen when she has not met him as a patient.My family and I live in Menlo Park. We were referred to Dr. Loc Nguyen by a friend. Dr. Nguyen listened to our problems with compassion and kindness with direct eye contacts without writing something on a computer or paper as other doctors do while we were talking to him. He is also funny and make us laugh in certain situations. He is efficient for referring us to proper departments for many tests.My husband has diabetes and high blood pressure and depression. We have gone to many doctors but he felt worse over time. Dr. Nguyen found ways  to adjust the medicines and suggested a diet that my husband feels much better and he is now taking fewer medicines. He is also motivated to take more long walks and he looks healthier and happier than six months ago.When we had questions about the medicines,Dr. Nguyen returned our calls on the same day. His staff at NorthBay clinic is very efficient and responsive when we makeOr change  our appointments. I have already referred many of my friends and relatives to see Dr. Loc Nguyen. My family is new to Fairfield and we found Dr. Loc Nguyen as our primary doctor. I called in a week ago to schedule an appointment for my husband who is having chest pains. First, I asked if they can accommodate to take us in the soonest possible time since the pain might be related to some cardiovascular disease so I really wanted my husband to be seen by a specialist. Unfortunately, the schedule was full and the staff I spoke on the phone didn't show empathy to my concern. So we waited for the earliest available schedule which was after a week. My husband's chest pains has gotten worst. The appointment was today, 10/03/16, @ 8:40am. I called in on the day of the appointment around 7:45am to verify the appointment and address. The staff I spoke to didn't say anything about Dr. Loc Nguyen not showing up today. So my husband arrived at the doctor's clinic at 8:30am, made him wait, then told him that the doctor is not showing up because he called in sick!My husband has to miss at least half day of work so he can go to this appointment then the doctor just called in sick. Dr. Nguyen could have notified his staff earlier that he is not showing up today that way his staff could have advised my husband earlier as well. It just doesn't seem like they care at all. Very unprofessional especially for a health provider. To consider, that I pled the staff for an appointment because the chest pains that my husband's having might be posing a major concern.I had a background in the healthcare industry as well, and I believe that going beyond duty to save lives is of paramount importance. In this case, no one went beyond their duties, seemed not even care.

I have been going to Dr. Nguyen for a while now. I had very bad problems. He did everything he could to help me without doing a hysterectamy. In the end we had no option but to do one. He was very nice very good bed side manners and explained everything to me before he did anything. I would reccomend him to anybody. I also love the staff anytime I needed anything I could call them and they were right there for me to help in any way they could. I love this office.
