List of Barry Shibuya's Reviews
Dr. Barry Shibuya is amazing really is a great doctor and has a lot of knowledge even has a YouTube will you can even look at some of his talks he’s really helpful and really great but I’m so happy that I can call him my doctor I have lupus and he has helped me so much so far with understanding with my lupus and helping me . He stays on top of things
worst rheumatologist I've ever seen .Inaccurate records, dismissive, unengaged , did not order his own testing, didn't examine me or answer questions instead referred me back to my PCP and his you tube videos.
Excellent MD. Listens to patient, very caring. Ten stars , every visit with him
Dr. Shibuya saw my mother for her severe arthritis symptoms. He was absolutely horrific. He immediately prescribed large doses of three different meds with poor instructions on how best to take them and then when she went back to complain of the severe side effects she was having due to the meds, told her she needed to see another specialist to address them. He is not sympathetic to his patients, hard to reach and completely dismissive of what his patients tell him.
Dr. Shibuya?s demeanor can be summed up in a single word, ?rude?. After several years of treating various joint pain via orthopedic physicians and with a blood test in hand that showed triple the normal blood inflammation, Dr. Shibuya prescribed Prednisone, Sulfasalazine and Alendronate. All of these drugs can cause issues and my complaints fell on deaf ears.
this doctor loves to talk. on your first visit, things feel like your in the right place. comfortable, staff take care of you. as your visits go on and on, it will seem like a broken record, your health condition did not change, the pain, all he does is ask you some repeating questions and record them and then ask you to visit him again without telling you what he found in you. and so on or perhaps ask you what should be done? if you dare to visit him, go ahead, i hope i'm not different.
I am a Patient of Dr Barry and has been for many years, His employees are very friendly, and professional. Dr Barry always has a smile on his face ,has a great sense of humor, a great dresser always looks nice and he treats me like a person and listen to what I HAVE TO SAY ALWAYS, AND YOU WILL FEEL THE SAME WAY ONCE YOU MEET HIM AND HIS STAFF.
If you telling him your problem he never even take look at you or examine it, all he does is asking you and write on the paper with your answer and give you the blood test paper and ask you to come back, each visit with me less than 5 min. He said he is SUNSHINE doctor, don't believe it. All my friends went to see him had same feeling as me.
I just got back from my second appointment with Dr. Shibuya. Dr. Shibuya is a good listener. He is knowledgeable and shares his though with you. When you leave, you know his plan of attack on the problem and why. I feel empowered to assist in the diagnosis/treatment of my disease. I really like his relaxed bedside manner. It balances out the solemnness of the office visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
