I was a patient at Islington Medical from age 5 until I was 31. Dr. Mohan had a rancid receptionist who discharged me as a patient because I did not attend the clinic for one year. After disputing this, I was placed into Dr. MacDiarmid's care. If you are overweight, he will refuse to help you with anything. I came in for a routine physical and pap and was denied and told to lose weight first. When I was 25 and returned asking once again for a pap, he was shocked when I informed him that I was sexually active. I once left work with a panic attack and severe chest pain, they did an ECG and determined it was just an anxiety attack, and when I asked for a referral to a psychologist/psychiatrist he told me "if you lose some weight, things will start falling into place." My last straw was coming in 2016 one day after I was in a 5 car pile-up car accident with severe low back pain and sciatic nerve pain shooting down my leg. His diagnosis... you guessed it! "Lose some weight and that won't be a problem." Useless clinic overall.

Dr Mac has always been caring and attentive with any medical issues ranging from physical to mental health. I never felt pressured or rushed and got a chance to explain exactly what was happening and always feel comfortable. Trustworthy and not trying to shove scrips up clients behinds like other doctors at this clinic!

He has always been great with me, and with a good sense of humour. Once he told me they’re going to have to take me out back of the barn and put an end to me lol. But he is caring, straightforward and punctual.

I have just moved out of Toronto after ten years care by Dr. MacDiamid. There were two times when he identified major illnesses. (First endometrial cancer through an initial general scan, and then Myasthenia Gravis through insisting I go to emergency immediately). He was caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Thank you for your care.

Was my family doctor for sometime, and at that time when I arrived for an issue asked: Who is your family doctor, even when I have appointment setup, or physical exam. He didn't read the history before talk to me,. then when i answer you are my family doctor, Ohh!! so get you conclusion. punctuality i don't have idea, always was there i give 4 in that one
