MIchael Cooper's Online Review Report Card

I'm a patient of Dr.Cooper's going on ten years. He is a truly excellent doctor that really cares about you...and your eyes. I moved out of Escondido, California, years ago, but still return to Dr. Cooper for my yearly eye exam.

Very happy we found this optometrist. The appointment was on time, the staff was friendly, and Dr. Cooper took the time to explain what he saw with my and my son's eyes. His office didn't try to upsell us glasses either. They printed out our prescriptions, explained our vision benefits, and let us make our own unpressured decisions. So nice!

The customer service is not professional! They are rude and on top they can't get their schedule right. They had scheduled me for an appointment at 3:00pm. Since my drive was 14 miles away I got stuck in traffic so I called letting them know I would be a few minutes late and they said I did not have an appointment scheduled because it got canceled?!!! I don't understand how my appointment got canceled when I received a text message clearly confirming my appointment, time , and date. It's unfortunate the front desk is unorganized and very rude. I liked the optometrist and was willing to drive miles. They sure lost a customer!

I saw Dr. Cooper for new contact and glasses prescriptions. His attention to detail is great, and he discusses his knowledge in a way understood by those not in the field. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had several bad experiences while coming in and calling. Once I called and Betsy answered the phone, I then explained my request and she said she would call back the next day with Dr. Cooper's message. That call was made on Monday, but I had to personally go into the office on Thursday, because no message was returned. I was able to pick up the box of sample contacts, and was lied to by Betsy when she said she had called me earlier to inform my box was ready for pick up. Now, I know they don't have the wrong number, because they had called my cell phone before for other appointments. Hence, I was perplexed by this odd response. Their front counter staff is lacking a respectful and professional demeanor (except for Roxanne and Maria), making it extremely difficult to recommend this place to anyone. To put this experience into perspective, I had been to the dentist and medical doctor the same week: it was a night and day experience with the level of professionalism, genuine care, and connection with the doctors not received at Dr. Cooper's office.

Awesome doctors...great office, excellent service! They are efficient and speedy. I always get an appointment right away, they see you at your appointment time, no waiting and they will make sure you get what you want at what you can afford when picking glasses. I love Dr. Cooper but his new addition, Dr. Michaels (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly) is an absolute doll and super sweet! I love this office, their staff and the care me and my husband get!

Horrible. Besides being ridiculously over priced the staff is unfriendly and rude. They keep you waiting forever yet rush you through the routine. The staff ladies watch you try on glasses and get annoyed when you don't like the first pair. In the actual exam Cooper is nice, but also just wastes a lot of time talking. Go here if you want to wait forever to take a mediocre exam and have to pay an arm and a leg for it and a bad selection of frames - only to have them screw up your order in the end. Go to walmart.

I found Dr. Cooper through a family member's recommendation. I see him for my annual eye exam. He is very thorough. I've been completely satisfied with his care and service as he takes the time to explain everything. I highly recommend him.

Great staff- clean, high tech equipment and the doctors really take their time to explain things. A+!

Dr. Cooper, Dr. Michel, and the staff are all great, very friendly and helpful, they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
