While Dr. Stigen was extremely helpful and kind, in the end due to the severity of my case and the fact their front desk is nearly impossible to get a hold of, I decided to go with a specialist. I encourage anyone struggling with endometriosis to join the Facebook group Nancy's Nook. It is loaded with information and specialists that have truly helped put me on the right path to getting better. Blessings.

I was struggling with ovarian cysts, fibroids, weight gain, and hormone issues. I waited several months for an appointment and it was worth it. She ran new bloodwork that included things that my doctors office did not put on their own order. She found that I was insulin resistant and explained what it meant, why I wasn’t able to lose weight, and changes I could make to finally help myself. I listened to everything she said and I have lost 40 pounds. She was thorough and I never felt rushed. I am grateful for the way she explained things and I feel healthy again.

I was referred to Dr. Stigen about a possible need for a hysterectomy. I waited three months for my appointment and at the appointment itself she merely reviewed the results of a previous sonogram - she did not examine me physically at all. My vitals were not even taken! She declined to give me an opinion as to if I should have a hysterectomy or not, and she offered only a guess as to what my medical issue might be. I had to find yet another GYN who then immediately referred me to a specialist surgeon and I was fast-tracked for surgery as I very much did need to have a hysterectomy. Because of Dr. Stigen's lack of action or opinion of any kind my situation worsened. She does not prescribe birth control or do any kind of infertility work (her right), but if she doesn't examine women either, what exactly does she do? DO NOT go to this doctor - she is dangerous to women's health.

Dr. Stigen and her office have shown complete incompetence and unprofessionalism. First, they over charged me for my visit and I had to call repetitively to get rightfully compensated. They issued me a credit towards an unnecessary 2nd visit online. At the initial appointment, Dr. Stigen prescribed a harsh drug for a medical issue I wasn’t even diagnosed with and do not even have! She should have run tests before issuing a drug for something I do not even have. She then ordered lab tests for symptoms and diseases I did not have or display! If a knowledgeable doctor could not tell that the symptoms I displayed were not what she ran tests for, I question her creditability and her medical background, education or lack thereof. I did not consent for the specific labs to be ordered. When I asked why they were run and why she prescribed a drug I did not need, her answer was that I seemed desperate and that she had to prescribe me “something.” This response is completely ignorant, ludicrous and disgusting! She stated that the lab results are just procedure for every patient. She stated verbatim that “she treats all patients the same!” This is the most foolish comment any so-called medical professional could ever make. NOT all patients are the same!! Obviously, she failed to listen to anything I said at our appointment. She failed to do a thorough and accurate examination. She failed to read my paperwork that the office requires you to fill out before appointments and even failed to listen to how long my issues had been taken place for. She even had the audacity to lie to my husband about what was discussed at my appointment, as well. She is a doctor that does not care about the best diagnosis for her patients. She treats all patients alike and figures out her diagnosis upon what is going to make her the most money. I pray that she stops her ill-gotten ways and hopefully my claim will stop innocent patients from looking for answers for their issues at the wrong place. You will waste your time and money if you are searching for help with Dr. Stigen. I highly advise that you seek medical and professional help elsewhere. I was recommended to see Dr. Stigen by a family member of mine, she had great results and now has a 14 month old son and thanks to Dr. Stigen and her team. I decided to start this journey because of my family members proof of Dr. Stigen's methods and I just want to say that she is very thorough in what she does and looks for. Her goal is to have all women have a healthy womb healthy body and that we can conceive naturally the way God intended us to do, so yes God uses doctors and medications to get us healthy.My husband and I are in the process right now but my hope is in Jesus and that he will use Dr. Stigen and her team to help us achieve our family that we have been desiring. Thank you Dr. Stigen and Staff and oh yes thank you Jesus!!!

I called to see about getting help w fertility and have been in a long term relationship for many years. I was informed she requires her patients to be married. Huge disappointment.

Hah- they won’t see you if you are not married- even if you have been in a committed relationship for over 10 years. What a joke

Dr. Stigen has been an amazing doctor! She is professional, consistent, willing to explore a variety of options to help her patients conceive in cooperation with their body. Her bedside manner is exceptional. My husband and I both feel confident in her approach to helping us conceive. Beyond her professionalism, Dr. Stigen truly cares about her patients and is fully invested in supporting us through this infertility struggle. She is realistic and tells you the truth...even when it is hard to hear. We are blessed to have found her.

My wife and I had previously experienced a miscarriage, and when we finally got the will to start trying again, we were not having any results. (My wife is 37 and I am 35.) We came to Dr. Stigen and Mystical Rose in September of 2019. We signed up for her six month NaPro fertility program. It has been nothing short of life-changing. We have learned so much about how the fertility cycle works, and how to change our diets and lifestyles to maximize our chances of getting pregnant. (You will learn more than you ever thought there was to know about fertility with Creighton model charting.) Dr. Stigen identified several areas of deficiency for both of us that were likely hindering conception. We addressed them with her help and with medication and supplements, and lo and behold...we conceived in February of 2020! Throughout the entire process Dr. Stigen's office was transparent, punctual and detailed. Their billing office worked with us to document everything and make sure our Healthshare would understand the charges and reimburse us for a good portion of them (our Healthshare does not reimburse for straight fertility help, but anything to do with general health that happens to also improve fertility is shareable). Dr. Stigen herself called us back on the Saturday morning after we found out we were pregnant. You can tell she and the rest of the team at the office have a passion and a calling for what they do, and take true joy in bringing couples the blessing of children. NaPro works. If you're experiencing infertility, give Dr. Stigen a call right away. I promise you won't regret it.

I was a patient since December 2017 until recently. When I began my search for a natural fertility doctor, I knew that I wanted to work with Dr. Stigen based on her yelp reviews and because she's also Catholic. Although we live over an hour away from her office, that didn't stop me. I was impressed by Dr. Stigen's expertise in infertility. She really knows her stuff. I like working with her because she is thorough, detail oriented, and patiently answers all my questions. She is very competent in her field. My office visits were on time and never rushed. Her office staff - Amanda and Karen were pleasant and always had a warm smile. Dr. Stigen was the surgeon who removed endometriosis from my uterus. A condition that I didn't know I had until I began working with her. She taught my husband and I how to be healthier through diet, exercise, and living a more natural lifestyle with less toxins. She provided us with so many helpful videos and shared her knowledge of a better, natural way of living to promote our chances of successfully conceiving our first child. Dr. Stigen recommended I change my diet to anti-inflammatory and when I did, there was a dramatic improvement in my cholesterol and overall results. I did not achieve natural pregnancy under Dr. Stigen's care, but I will carry the lessons I learned throughout my life. We thought we had one positive pregnancy, but it turned out to be a false positive from the medication and we were not told that could be possibility. Heartbreaking! If there is something to improve on, I would say better communication and more support to couples going through the program. There were 5 months in the beginning while we were detoxing and making lifestyle changes that we did not hear from the office at all and there were no check-ins.
