List of Sean Wahlquist's Reviews
Dr. Wahlquist did rotator cuff surgery on me about a year and a half ago. He was very good about explaining everything to me, and my recovery was uneventful. I am now completely pain free. At the same time, I broke my ankle, and while no surgery was required, he treated that as well. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
There is no easy way to get into this office if you're pushing a wheelchair. The door shows that it is wheelchair friendly but it isn't. I had to push my 77 year old dad here, just for a 5 minute visit to say his hip pain had gotten better. This could have been an easy 3 minute phone call. Getting the disabled to doctor appointments is no easy task.
Took great care of my wife Barbara ! Very kind , great surgeon , takes time to explain care and recovery process . Highly recommend
Great Surgeon ! Would highly recommend. Took time to explain care and recovery!
I have never in my life known a more understanding, empathetic, and patient doctor. Dr. Wahlquist goes above and beyond the average care for his patients to ensure they are given quality care to help get them on the road to recovery. I’ am so grateful for the work and care he provided me, so that I can get back to playing with my kids and doing the things I love with my family.
I am 77 + years of age. My thoughts are based upon a lifetime of experiences, observations and comparisons. I have no medical experience. Since my transition from private insurance to Medicare I’ve found that finding a doctor has gotten increasing more difficult. Finding a “GOOD” Doctor near impossible and finding a “GREAT” Doctor a miracle. I look for a doctor to listen to my problem(s) and resolve them. If Dr. Walhquist did only that he would fit into my definition of GOOD Doctor. He doesn’t stop there. He explains his findings in a language that I can understand. He summarizes various solutions and makes recommendations enumerating the pros and cons of each. Lastly, his bed side manner, office manner, his personality far exceeds most I’ve encountered in the past and that is saying a lot! With the above in mind I would say that Doctor SEAN Walhquist is a beacon in the medical field upon which medical standards should be based upon or aimed for. Thank you Doctor Walhquist.
I needed a little help after I "tweaked" my "good" knee and I surely ended up back at a great practice. This actually was the second time I had used Folsom Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Guilfoy had successfully repaired my torn rotator cuff a number of years ago. Great care continues with the doctors and staff. My experience with Dr. Wahlquist was fantastic. He is a very patient guy who listens. So, you have a very competent Dr. with a delightful bedside manner. Almost as rare as Santa's reindeer. You won't regret engaging with this fine doctor.
Dr. Wahlquist performed my bi-lateral Achilles repair and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. From the start, he was very calm and caring about my condition. Dr. Wahlquist informed me of my options; weighing the pros and cons of of surgical and non-surgical care. After answering all my questions about the procedure, post-care, and recovery, I felt confident that Dr. Wahlquist would do a fantastic job as my surgeon. Right before the surgery I voiced my nervousness to Dr. Wahlquist. He smiled and said, "Being nervous is perfectly normal. How about you be nervous for both of us, and I'll be confident for both of us? We got this." It brought my comfort and peace before a difficult procedure. My surgery went well and I'm currently recovering. Dr. Wahlquist visited my room multiple times to check-in on my progress and how I was feeling. Genuinely the best hospital experience I've ever had; patient or not. If you're looking for a highly skilled, friendly, orthopedic surgeon who will treat you correctly, Dr. Wahlquist is the right choice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
