Long wait times, no PCP just traveling nurse. I waited 1,5 hours to be seen.I’ve been going to Open doors my entire life and have never had this bad of experiences.

Had an appointment for 8 AM, need a tooth pulled. A simple operation they seen me as soon as possible.

Takes children, but has to refer them out if they need sedation. Waited an hour to be seen and by that time my child was over it. Now we have to drive 5 hours away because humboldt doesnt have anywhere that does sedation and takes medical.

Put my medication refill request in 11 days ago, nothing happened, called about 4 days later and the said they were working on it, a couple days later and I called the pharmacy who sent a request in, called back to check and it's still "being worked on" for ibuprofen. I've been on hold with them for 15 minutes so far today. I called to make a counseling appointment for recent trauma and they put me out 3 weeks for a referral appointment, they cancelled it the day before and never bothered to reach out to reschedule.

The Dr.s and NP's come and go. There is no consistency of who or how you'll be cared for. I've found most of them are more concerned with how they want to do things then helping a patient. I'd rather have no Dr. then try to get help from a place that just ends up making things worse.

The nurses were super helpful and great, I got my vaccine easy and fast. However, the older lady who works as a receptionist upstairs was being rude to a Hispanic woman asking for help simply because “she didn’t know Spanish why are you talking to me” and told her to sit down and wait very aggressively. Very unprofessional, gross and sad to watch.

Know a person who got a wisdom tooth pulled one week ago today (10/15/20), but they won't see me cause I live in Arcata. Instead I'm forced to go down south to be seen.

I am treated so well at this clinic that it is a pleasure to go there when compared to other experiences I have had in other medical offices. I you are living in Eureka, there are no openings for new patients. Fortuna Health Center might be a place to get competent medical assistance.

I was able to get in after three months and my medical care was great. However I mainly signed up to use mental health services, and they only have ONE counselor here. He’s wonderful- but he has a wait list of three months. Plus, you’re only allowed 9 or 12 sessions so it’s all short term. Disappointed to say the least on that front. Otherwise, my medical care has been great.
