My husband has been followed by Dr Patel for three years after experiencing a heart attack. Dr Patel was on call for the Emergency Room at Orange Coast Memorial Hospital and was so very impressive. He was then, and has continued to be, knowledgeable and compassionate. His calm demeanor has helped put issues into a good perspective. Initially, he could have benefitted himself and the hospital financially by doing an emergency procedure but decided after taking in a full history not to proceed in that way. Since that initial meeting, he has only ordered tests and medications when necessary. I would highly recommend the whole office.
This review is for Dr. Amanda Donohue and Echo Tech Veronica.

Firstly Dr Donohue is amazing, she's so friendly and makes you feel 100% comfortable regardless of how scary first visits are. Her sense of humor and overall demeanor was professional and made me feel cared for.

Secondly, Veronica did an amazing job of making me feel welcomed and safe during my echocardiogram. It's not often you find an office where everyone is pleasant and kind.

I'm thankful I found this office.
This review is long overdue. My Mom has been seeing Dr Schiff for over 20 years, he is an extremely compassionate and knowledgable Cardiologist. I deal with many specialists and his front office staff is top notch, they always answer the phone and field questions and appointments in a timely and professional manner. We needed an emergency appointment during the Covid19 epidemic and we were promptly set up with a teleconferencing call with Dr Schiff, My Mom and I are forever grateful for his continued care during these difficult times.
Dr Greenfield is a brilliant and compassionate physician. He helped me to get my cholesterol numbers down to spectacular levels. His kind, caring, and jovial manner, along with his expertise, make it a joy to visit him every six months.

I had to have some testing done today and was very anxious about the process and what might be revealed. I do not know the job title of the gentleman who did the testing, his name is Ron. He was very knowledgeable about the process, how to explain it terms I would understand, what I would experience and questions I might have. He was very carinG and supportive in the most professional way. He should be teaching everyone what health CARE is but I'm glad he was on the front line providing it today. I hope California Heart Associates know the gem they have in him.
Rude rude rude.

Cat, the office assistant in the Irvine location who answered the phone, must have had a furball because she was rude, disrespectful and had a rude tone.

I'll take my business elsewhere. You should too.
Dr Donohue is the best we have ever had as a cardiologist! She is caring and attentive to my husband's needs and any questions we have. When we leave, we get notes on whatever that day's discussion was, any changes that were made and a current list of medications. Her office was pretty busy today, which was unusual that we had much of a wait. However, it is worth any wait if the doctor is willing to spend whatever time she needs. We HIGHLY recommend them!
I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Nikhik P. Warrier, M.D., and after I set the time aside for the appointment which included making arrangements to honor my appointment time as well as the physician's time I get a call from the physician's office the day before about cancellation of the appointment and to reschedule. This is completely unacceptable and highly inconsiderate not to mention extremely rude. This physician could benefit to take a course on patient and customer care. In my view I give Dr. Warrier a grade of "F" on customer/patient consideration and care. I will make sure that from now on that I will not recommend this clinic to any of my friends and associates. The right thing to do for this medical professional is to call me personally with ample time to reschedule and to apologize for the rude inconvenience which caused me to go back to the starting point of setting the time aside and rearrange my schedule to seek medical care from this inconsiderate medical professional. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I have no other option but to simply say that your clinic failed in providing consideration for patients regarding scheduling of appointments.
I didn't get a chance to search out what doctors office to use, but I am so very thankful I found Dr. Nirula. I had a heart attack and it was a life altering wake up call. He was somehow able to go into my arm and up into my heart. I'm still amazed at how he was able to save my life, and then do some more follow up procedures. I looked at some of the posts below with one star, but the staff and medical assistants are total 5stars in my book. They have gone above and beyond in helping me navigate my insurance company's crazy rules and providing me sample drugs until they can figure it all out. If you have a choice, I'd swear by Dr. Nirula and his team. They saved my life and for that I am eternally grateful.
The front office staff here is the worst I've ever seen. They should all be replaced by an online appointment scheduling system. I tried to call today to reschedule an appointment I had for an EKG, and whoever was at the front desk had the worst temperament I've ever seen. She was short, and made it sound like I was inconveniencing her soooo badly. She wouldn't let me finish my sentences when I would try to explain what I needed, and would just throw my questions back at me with "what do you mean you need...??".

In the end, she put me on hold for 12 minutes, and then had the audacity to just hung up the line. Whoever reads these reviews (hopefully not her), maybe try and do something about all these terrible reviews you keep getting.

Aside from that, the one appointment I WAS able to schedule, the doctors themselves are great. Very kind and knowledgeable.

Going to try and call again this afternoon, hopefully she's taken a nap by then and isn't so cranky.

Man, that was hard not saying what I really wanted to say.
Still alive and kicking thanks to California heart associates. What more could I ask for. Your the best.I would like everyone to know that Nani R is a joke. He is a jerk who has never been to California heart associates. He just is a low life who thinks he is funny,Just another punk with a computer.
I've been coming here for a while now and this is by far one of the best places. I always leave with a smile when I check out. Desiree is very sweet and caring. Jennifer B is helpful. The doctors are amazing. I recommend California Heart to my family and friends
Doctor Schiff has welcomed me with open arms! great provider. great company overall!
Dr Patel scheduled a CT scan for me in an attempt to find out why my bp is so high. The scan was several weeks ago. 2 weeks after the scan I met with my kidney doctor that referred me to Patel. I told him I had not heard anything from Patel or his office. He said he would contact Patel and have him call me. 3 weeks later I call Patel's office and speak to Diane. She apologized and told me that she'd get Patel to call me and get the front desk to call me to set a follow up appointment. That was 3 weeks ago. Yesterday Diane called . No explanation, just called to see if I still wanted to hear from my doctor regarding the results of the CT scan! She had the front desk call me to set an appointment. First available was July 12, about 3 months after the procedure!! At that point I lost all confidence in Patel and his office and I'm now looking for a new vascular surgeon.
I've been a patient at California Heart for several years now, and am always impressed with the thoroughness and care by Dr. Schiff. The rest of the staff is always friendly and professional as well. Highly recommended.
I am a medical professional myself and feel I have extremely high standards when it comes to other professionals. I had excellent service from start to finish. The staff was warm and inviting from the minute I arrived until I was brought back to a treatment room. The tech that came in to perform my EKG was also very professional and efficient. When Dr. Greenfield, who is a lipid specialist, arrived he had already reviewed my file and then ordered appropriate test to be run. It was overall a great experience and I highly recommend this practice to any one.
Absolutely love this practice staff is always friendly and always on top of things never a problem.
My experience was quite interesting. I showed up at scheduled appointment time and there was a NOTE on the door saying no patients can be seen as the computers are down. Are you kidding me??? I walked into a full waiting room of people waiting for the computers to come back up the nurse said " I don't even know if we'll be here later". Peace out. Hope nobody has a heart attack there as the Memorial Hospital's computers are down as well and they'll probably die if they can't find your name in the computer. I thought hospitals had backups for this crap. Clearly the rebuild cost so much they had no $ left for, let's say people staying alive and healthy.
I have been going to California Heart Associates for a couple of years now after having mitral valve repair. My cardiologist, Dr. Donahue, is always well prepared when she comes into the room. She genuinely cares what is going on with me and we discuss options. I never feel hurried; she always gives me the time I need to address all of my questions. At my last appt., she ordered an echocardiogram, heart monitor and some blood work. All of that was scheduled and completed just a week later...James hooked me up with the heart monitor and Veronica did the echocardiogram. Everyone I have come in contact with is personable and professional. I would not want to go anywhere else!
