If I could give Dr Podolsky and his staff 10 ⭐️ I would! Professional, courteous, honest and best bedside manner ever! Dr P replaced my L hip in 2019 and within 3 weeks I was riding my bike and surfing again! The staff here is amazing and you are in good hands all the way around!
I went to the ER following a bike accident and fracturing my elbow. I had to have total elbow replacement. I had no choice of surgeons and Dr. Podolsky was the surgeon on call. Following surgery I had seepage from the incision and Dr. Podolsky was notified and said nothing should be done as the site is sterile. Two weeks later, I went to his office to remove the cast and I had a major infection. He prescribed antibiotics and told me to return in 2 weeks. He gave me absolutely NO post op infection, wound care instructions. He couldn't remove all the staples. I had to go to urgent care the following day to have the wound treated. When I returned to his office, 2 weeks later, he didn't give me any more after care instructions and his nurse removed what I thought were the remaining staples. Thank goodness I have a great primary doc who prescribed a different antibiotic, ordered home health nurse to take care of the wound,OT and PT. Dr. Podolsky does minimal after care reporting or communication. So besides not verbally telling me anything, he doesn't write informative, useful chart notes. He did not look at my scar or measure my elbow flexion. Now 2 months later I discover one staple had not been removed and skin was growing over it. I was able to secure a referral to a different orthopedic surgeon who was able to remove the remaining staple, review my current xray, give me post op/recovery instructions and even provide after care written summary. I will be canceling my next appointment with Dr. Podolsky and will be transferring my surgical followup care with a more competent orthopedic surgeon.
I have had nothing but pain and discomfort since he did my hip replacement. Never will ever let him do any more surgeries on me
Dr Podolsky is the best.
I went to his office and we decided to do a meniscus repair. Then they kept on blowing me off for weeks All I could figure was he didn't want my medicare, so I found someone else.
This is probably the worst ortho surgeon you could get. I had a prosthetic elbow and after 2 years it Became infected so I went to the Local ER and they confirm it's infected. I told them I will call my surgeon , they say well we have the best Orthopedic surgeon in Orange County Right here. It was a Saturday morning and I wasn't sure I could get my guy that quick and my arm was very swollen. So since the hospital staff Felt he was good I said to call him. Wel he operated on it and the next day it was draining pretty good. They put. A vacuum bandage on it and per the docs orders I was to return to his office in two weeks. So a week later the vacuum bandage shuts down and Is hurting pretty bad. I go back Again with his vacuum thing I looked them up online and They are programmed to Run one week and Shut off. He had ER wrap itup And it smelled bad. They called Him and they were told to wrap it and have me go to his office in a week. A week went by I was At his office and it smelled so bad. He said it's coming along and to come back in two weeks. I was mad it smelled like death. It's been over A month since the surgery And I still had the staples in my Arm. I had to ask him to Remove the staples he said oh you Want them out. I said yeah there starting to hurt. So he removed them and the next morning it stated to open and it was still draining bad. Finally I went to my normal ortho surgeon now it's so open you can See the bone. The doctor told my wife if I make it through the night they will operate. I had 8 different strains of infection in my elbow. They removed the prosthetic and had to cut more dead bone out. Then they had a Plastic surgeon remove all the dead tissue and close it. That was three years ago and I still don't have a left elbow.
Waited an hour just to be ignored and sent away after 10 minutes with the doctor that costed me $80. I had torn my pectoral and have had discomfort since in the area it is very clearly misshapen compared to the other. Podolsky dismissed my concerns and said there were no differences in the muscle without even having me take off the sweater I was wearing let alone do any another concrete testing such as MRI. This "doctor" overbooks his patients and lacks any sense of care for them.
I crushed the pinky finger on my right hand and Dr. Podolsky met with me, described the injury, explained what options I had to repair my hand and a day later he performed the repair. So far I am pleased with the doctor’s work and his bedside manner. I truly believe he is one of the most professional people I have ever met. Thank you doctor Podolsky!
Met Dr Podolski at the Orange Coast Hospital in Fountain Valley when I broke my hip just over 2 months ago. After being hospitalized for a few days this doctor came to talk with me and told me that I should let my hip heal without surgery. The whole time he was talking with me he was hiding behind my rooms curtains. Heal itself? You must be kidding!! I requested a second opinion and another surgeon who was there decided to perform surgery on me to correct my hip fracture. He told me that if I let the fracture heal itself I would have spend many months in pain and trying to heal. He thought it was wrong for Dr Podolski to even suggest that. This is bad medicine and Dr Podolski is a bad doctor.
Dr Podolsky is the WORST DOCTOR, WARNING ! RUN !! He did a revision of my knee and CEMENTED my knee and didn't even TELL me and now I have to get a NERVE BLOCK every 6 months. Then he did a whole knee replacement on my left knee and OVER EXTENDED it and now it goes out and I have to get another surgery to fix it! I have fallen 3 times in the last 2 years and it pops out of place as well and I was looking for another doctor but it went out sooner than I expected and I have to now get shots every 6 months in my right knee for LIFE and my hips because he also didn't straighten my knees and he made them go out like ducks so it puts pressure on my knees! ALL this could have been prevented if he just straightened my knees and tightened the whole knee replacement so it wasn't over extented !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
