My knee surgery was flawless, minimally invasive and no post surgery pain or inflammation. Did not need any narcotcs after procedure. Anesthesiologist was through and answered any concerns i had, woke up feeling good. Staff was professional and friendly also the Manhattan beach facility was perfect. Great Job would highly recommend

The back office is so bad I can no longer visit this practice. I would rather file paperwork with the DMV than have to deal with their receptionists.

Dr. Mellano is GREAT, very caring and understands your needs and the end result of why you came to see him, very personable, listens and makes you feel comfortable. A few months ago I had total knee replacement, it went very well; Dr. Mellano and his assistant explained the surgery so you could understand, answered all questions and made you understand that post physical therapy is VERY important and that your commitment to it should be 100%+ for a speedy and outstanding recovery, of which I was. I would recommend Dr Mellano to my entire family and everyone I know, he's that good! The office staff is very good, office is clean and airy, making an appointment or any other issues have never been a issue, I am very happy with this group, all very helpful and knowledgeable.

Great first office visit with Dr. Mellano. He’s wonderful. He took his time to explain his findings and his reasons for the direction of care. The office itself was a little bit off. I overheard many angry customers who had arrived for appointments that went home unseen. No Dr in or the records did not show appointments somehow. Very concerning. My initial experience was poor customer service. It took three attempts to get a hold of an appointment staff person who asked the right questions to get my insurance information processed. That part nearly kept me from processing further.

Doctor Mellano attempted a meniscus root repair on my right knee about 3 years ago. I followed all of the post-operative protocols and physical therapy and I have recently found out that the repair has failed and there is a complete meniscus tear in the same place the doctor performed the surgery. This type of repair is difficult and there is a chance that it could fail but what really frustrated me about this process was how dismissive Dr. Mellano was about the instability and pain concerns in my knee months after my surgery. He made me feel like all of it was in my head and it wasn't his problem any more.I will be getting revision knee surgery done in a month by a complex knee surgeon and I am hopeful I will have more success this time around. If a simple surgery is all you need Dr. Mellano should be fine, but with any complex procedures, I highly recommend seeing a surgeon that is an expert in one specific joint to avoid complications down the road.

i never broke a bone in my life and play every sport in the world so when i broke my hand and got misdiagnosed by urgent care on the day of the injury, needless to say i was pretty scared... after just a quick look at my x-rays i could tell it was out of place and broken and that they didnt even look at them. a week later my pcp misdiagnosed me as well with "a sprain with a lot of swelling"... after a week my fingers started to turn blue and i had to go to the er to get them reset but because it was broken it wouldnt stay in place. next day i met dr mellano and found out i needed emergency surgery, the next day, and would have 3 large pins in my right hand for 2 months (im right handed). i probably asked him 500 questions in that moment and dr mellano made sure to sit there and answered every one of them carefully and with confidence. he made sure to talk to me prior to surgery and always asked how i was feeling. he scheduled bi-weekly check-ups and encouraged me to call if i had concerns (i never had too because i asked them a million during our appointments lol). im now finishing my physical therpay and sometimes even forget i ever injured my hand. hes truly the best doctor i have ever had and made my terrible situation into a prety darn good one. i wish he did primary care too so he could be my regular doctor lol. thats how fanstic he is. his nurse, jillian, is also just as amazing and is so caring as well... i love visiting them and cant wait to visit for my reocvery check up next week! if you need any orthopedic services i highly recommend dr mellano and his pa jillian and i will most definitly come back to them if i ever need orthopedic help in the future. thank you guys again!!!

Very excellent medical care. I was in a lot knee pain and Dr. Mellano provided excellent care.

It s my first time being there and i was very impress by their punctual timings and friendliness expertises. The doctor and very humble and listen to what you had to say comparing to others that i had been thru whereas they rushed you in and some of them didnt even bother to see you. I had the experienced of being to one the i waited altogether for closed to an hour inside their office and in result just so i could hear them talking outside of the office while they were looking at my file and had them send me to physical theraphy according to all they read on the paper. Wow that was a horrible careless dr. tran trieu in Fountain valley. He is not even worthed for me to capitalized his name. Above all from my visit at Dr. Mellano, i m very impressed and feeling very warmth and safe in his hands. I should had come here a long time ago. They also kept the place very clean and well litted and ventilated.
