There is no words to describe Dr Hawkins and her team. She helped me delivered my baby, right after having my baby there were complications where I almost bled to dead! This Dr and her team acted so fast and really cared...They safe my life...if it wasnt for her and her team, most likely my baby would be without a mom
This review 4 years overdue . Dr Hawkins. She is so empathetic. I was fortunate to have her as on call Dr when I went to the ER for an ectopic pregnancy. She diagnosed me and also treated me for 2 ectopics: she also did my surgery to remove the ectopic and told me she found endometrioma: she moved offices so no longer in my medical group. Im very sad she is gone . Hope you are well, Dr Hawkins!
Truly a warm personality doctor who is very smart. I went to her years ago, then she moved offices and the old office didnt tell me where she moved. After 2 years, I finally found her. I know I am in good hands, her new office is kinda far for me, yet I know I can count on her for my health.
Terrible staff. I wish they would understand the value of having patients . It's a cycle we go for prenatal consultation and delivery that's how the office gets paid and thus they get their salary . It's sad that good doctors have to loose new patients caz of staff with no empathy .
Dr. Hawkins saved my fertility and has gone above and beyond to help me with all my symptoms and complications. I went to another gynecologist prior to seeing Dr. Hawkins who was rough, rude, seemed annoyed and uncaring. She wanted to take a uterine biopsy’s in her office without any pain medication. I had one done before previously years ago with another doctor and it was an excruciating, horrific experience. I didn’t want it done and was crying on the table and begged her to stop. The rude doctor said I needed to suck it up and stop wasting her time. She did stop, threw her hands up, literally and said that I needed either an ablation or a hysterectomy without taking a sample. It wasn’t making sense to me if she thought I needed one of those procedures anyway, why put me through the biopsy in the first place . I asked her if they could schedule me to go under anesthesia to get it done and that doctor never responded or called back to schedule. I’m so thankful that I found Dr. Hawkins and got a 2nd option. I was abused as a child so Gyno appointments are always very hard for me. But with Dr. Hawkins I feel comfortable and at ease with her, she checks in with me to make sure I’m ok. She listens attentively and explains things very well. I have absolute confidence in her. And trust anything she suggests and says. She has taken steps to try to avoid a hysterectomy, I’m only 35, and with no arguments at all she scheduled me to be put under for the biopsy and found that I had a TON of uterine polyps and took care of them right there. Thank you Dr. Hawkins for caring and for helping me feel better. You’d be in excellent caring hands with her. Please trust me and DO NOT go see Dr. G. Lara Bhatnaghnar at Women 2 Women.
I saw Dr. Hawkins today. She is a wonderful and thoughtful doctor. I am really happy I found her . The five stars is solely for Dr. Hawkins. Not impressed with her scheduling staff but they were professional and not disrespectful. My original time had to be rescheduled due to Dr. Hawkins being doubled/tripled booked. At first, I was annoyed because being triple booked is not my problem. It's an office scheduling staff issue. Dr. Hawkins apologized for my waiting and shared with me the reason for the rescheduling, which was completely understandable, and not because she was double/tripled booked. Overall a good experience. Thank you Dr. Hawkins.

I saw Dr. Hawkins for the first half or so of my (first) pregnancy. She transitioned to a different medical group, which unfortunately my insurance no longer covers. I was so sad, but am so thankful to have had her as my doctor. She is professional, kind, knowledgeable, gentle and SO patient and gracious with questions/concerns. I can truly say I trusted her opinion/thoughts on things and never felt like I was a nuisance or belittled when I asked questions (that i'm sure were sometimes really silly). I've seen a lot of doctors/nurse practitioners/etc. and finding a doctor like her is really really hard! I wish my insurance still covered her...I would definitely still be seeing her. If you're looking for an OBGYN, I would highly recommend!!!
I just came back from doctor visit with dr. Hawkins.
I was concerned about my immunization if it is up to the date. Since I was not born here.. There is CDC paper hanging on her wall about what kind of vaccinations u need if u prepare to get pregnant. She doesn't care about the vaccine I asked at all. If it is not serious issue why there is information about prenatal vaccination on her wall. I have to ask her everything "Do I need Hep B? Do I need MMR? Since I don't have vaccinations records from where I came from.
All she said is Do u want me to? Do u want me to do blood test? They don't even bother to do my urinalysis.
She said I can give you MMR vaccine and flu shot. The nurse came in with flu shot and said we don't have MMR vaccine.i told her the doctor said u guys have it. She disappeared and came back to tell me they don't.I told her I am sick right now and have fever last night and still doesn't feel very well. They gave me flu shot anyway. I came home feel even more sick . They should have waited till I get better before giving me flu shot. Regarding vaccinations she told me to go get it from another doctor office who provides that.
Here in California there are people from around the world and it is so dangerous if you don't get MMR vaccine boosters. Go to CDC website and read about it folks.
There was reported outbreak of German measles in Disney land Anaheim back in 2014. If u get it while u are pregnant u have 50% chance that your baby could have birth defected. I don't claim to have more knowledge than the doctor but I read it from CDC website. If it is not to be concerned why it is even on CDC website?
Bottom line is .. really disappointed and I took day off for nothing.
If your looking for a really good OBGYN Doctor then this is the Doctor for you. I have nothing, but praise for Dr. Hawkins. Her bedside manor is excellent, but what I like most is that she's super thorough. I think that's what a lot of Doctors lack. I told her that on my last visit and told her how much I appreciated how proactive she is regarding my healthcare. Her staff is also great which makes checking in and checking out a lot easier.
Dr Hawkins has put my mind at ease after listening patiently to my issues and not just writing things off. I am so grateful to have fun her and the women's healthcare center. She is thorough and quick to follow up. Thank you for your extra TLC.
I went through a high risk pregnancy with hospital bed rest for 3 weeks, a 28 week preterm birth of my son, and a very complicated surgery with Dr. Hawkins. All of which was scary and stressful. She was always very patient and available through the numerous questions and listened without judgement. I was so worried changing my doctors when we moved from NY, but I can't imagine putting my trust with any other person through this experience. She is not only extremely kind, caring, and skilled, she is the best at what she does. I'm a grateful mother of 3 now and I have Dr. Hawkins to thank for that precious gift.
I received excellent care from Dr Hawkins. I'll be referring her to friends and family.
I'm a woman in my early 50s. Dr Hawkins is very knowledgeable and helped me with dealing with my menopause issues. She spent a good amount of time with me during my visit making sure my questions were answered. She is also a caring person with a good bedside manner.
I had Dr. Hawkins as my physician during my second pregnancy at The Woman's Health Center after my pervious doctor had moved and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a doctor who will go above and beyond for you and who truly cares schedule an appointment with her. I'm not an easy patient and have difficult pregnancies and she took great care of me. I honestly couldn't be more grateful for her dedication to my care and I am so glad I had her there for me through all of that. Thank you, Dr. Hawkins!
