I love Dr Sakai and the staff here. Everyone is friendly and helpful. My questions are answered and I feel very well cared for
I would rate the docs and PA's 5* but the people that answer the phone are questionable and don't really seem to know what is going on in their own office. My doc left this practice and I have been told all kinds of different things such as none of the doctors will be taking medicare insurance anylonger, or maybe a new doctor might but not sure??? As a patient you kind of need to know if you need to find a new doctor with another new practice. Dec. 23 I had a really unacceptable experience in simply trying to get a quanity changed on a prescription a doc gave me that was apparently only there one day. I had called a couple of times to try to explain simply what I needed. Anna I believe returned my call and and I then returned her call to further explain what I needed as all I would get from them is that doc is no longer here and was here for only one day. Very unwilling to help and just brushed off. I simply need the pres. for 3 month instead of 1 for insurance reasons. The rudest person, named Corina answered the phone and would talk over me and not listen to anything I had to say or to explain my situation. I could not even finish a sentence! All she could say is that the doctor that wrote the prescription less than 24 hours ago was no longer there. No offer of help and just the brush off like I got with my other two phone calls. I was in a doctors office waiting room when placing the call and could not speak loudly and she had the nerve to say I was yelling as I just kept talking trying to finish my sentence as she continually talked over me everytime I tried to talk. I finally said, I don't care if the doctor was there only one day, this is my doctors office and where I got the prescription and I need help with it. I then called back after my apt and asked to to speak to the office manager and was told I was lst person in que but was on hold seven minutes before the rude one answers the phone. I asked to speak to the office manager Agnes and was pressured for a reason why. She knew why! I finally was able to leave a message for office manager Agnes to call me back. This was on Dec. 23rd. Jan 1st and no call back. I loved my doctor but she no longer works there and to be treated like this on the telephone is unacceptable when trying to get help. So a review it is. Someone could be a lot sicker or in more pain than me and no one should be treated this way for a SIMPLE REQUEST.
Dr. Lincoln Tom takes great care of both my husband and I. The Staff is very helpful and we are very pleased.
I have an extremely bad respiratory infection. I can barely breathe and I'm coughing up green stuff. I agreed to take the instant test that are done in office, but was uncomfortable doing the Covid test that is sent to the lab. The doctor stated that because I was refusing to take the Covid test, she will not prescribe me antibiotics. This is blatant discrimination. She was very rude and treated me as if I was crazy. I asked to speak with her supervisor and they said that she would probably give me a call. No one should be discriminated against because they are uncomfortable with taking a Covid test when there is obvious infection inside of my lungs. Even the doctor said that I have infection before I told her that I was uncomfortable doing the Covid test that is sent to the lab. My overall experience was not well either, the woman working at the front desk was extremely rude. Not just to me but to everyone and I'm sure I'm not the first person to say that. Discrimination against someone because of their personal beliefs is something that should not be tolerated. Luckily I recorded our conversation and I'm going to be contacting my lawyers about this..
This review is specifically regarding Dr. Katayun Saadai at the Fountain Valley location. I do not like to give doctors negative reviews, but at this point I have no other choice. I'd seen Dr. Saadai two times before my appointment on 12/20/2023, and our interactions were a bit awkward and ineffective, so I hadn't planned to see her again. On 12/20 I had made an urgent care appointment for an acute shoulder injury, but they sent me up to Dr. Saadai instead because she had an opening. I had a 10:00 appointment and was brought back by the nurse at exactly 10:00. I waited in the patient room for 20 minutes until Dr. Saadai arrived. When she did eventually come to the room, she was very short with me. I had come in for an acute injury to my right shoulder, which had happened the night before when I fell badly in the shower. I had a very difficult time communicating with her about what had happened, and she asked me repetitive questions that were very odd and often made no sense. For example, I told her I had fallen in the shower last night and landed on my shoulder, but she didn't seem to be able to grasp what I was explaining. She touched around my shoulder for approximately 5 seconds then told me it was probably tendinitis. I (not a doctor) had to explain to her that tendinitis is a chronic condition and that I had fallen, which is an acute injury. She agreed to refer me for an xray and prescribe a medication for the pain. She then left the room and told me to check out. The entire encounter was less than 5 minutes. When I went checkout, the kind receptionists had no information on me. I told them the doctor had said she was sending an X-ray referral and a prescription. They had me go back outside to the waiting room until they could get the information. After about 15 minutes in the waiting room I realized I'd been forgotten about and had to find someone in the office to ask Dr. Saadai for the X-ray order. I finally got it a few minutes later and was able to get my X-ray. The X-ray ended up being clear, so she sent me to an MRI later in the day. When I arrived I found out that she had failed to send over the appropriate paperwork and I would have to pay out of pocket and request insurance reimbursement. This was extremely frustrating as we have a Blue Cross PPO through the county that covers virtually everything, but paid out of pocket anyway. At that point, still in a huge amount of pain, I realized that Dr. Saadai had never called me in a prescription for the pain. I called the office and they said they would try to get a hold of her, but to no avail. It's now 9:30PM on the following day and I have never heard anything back from her and there was no prescription sent to the pharmacy. At this point I will not use Dr. Saadai again and have established care with another doctor. My husband, who was briefly her patient, will be establishing care elsewhere as well. Her behavior has been unprofessional and unqualified. I will be filing a complaint with the Medical Board as well.
This is the BEST Urgent Care around! The practitioners treat their patients with respect, are very detailed and knowledgeable. It's the ONLY medical office I use to insure my three children receive the best care available. The receptionist are very professional and steady. MOM APPROVED local HB(:
Went as a walk in for a sinus infection and the whole process was easy and fast. i was in and out. staff was helpful and really nice.
My husband and I can only say that we have been very impressed with the efficiency, service, care and kind attention from the medical staff at the Brookhurst Street facility. The process of finding an appointment on line to being welcomed to the clinic at reception was a smooth and caring involvement. There was very little time in the waiting room and things moved really quickly. I was initially seen by Laura Jardine, who was brilliant with her diagnosis and treatment plan. She was confident in exactly what to prescribe for my particular situation and explained her reasons why. She quickly organized and arranged everything required, including immediately sending appropriate orders to my pharmacy. She concluded by informing me that should there be no improvement within a certain time frame, I should get in touch with her. This was followed up by a tele med appointment, which was a helpful continuation. Laura advised that should there not be a marked breakthrough in a few days, I should return for a chest x-ray to determine findings.Although I had some improvement from everything that was being prescribed and utilized, I was still not where I needed to be, so was able to return and had a comprehensive consultation with Jennifer Salaveria (NP). She was extremely compassionate, empathetic and understanding and had an amazing "finger on the pulse". She took extreme action with an instant booster shot of Prednisone and sent me for a chest x-ray, which she initially read immediately. The nursing staff were also incredible, as well as the techs.I was overall impressed with the caring staff, structure and organization of this facility and will certainly be recommending them to others.
Here is what I like about FCC:1. Very well organized office. Waiting time for the most part is not more than 5 to 10 min. They are really good at check-in and excellent at check-out. 2. The referrals go to my medical group almost immediately, and I get my authorizations sometimes as soon as the next day, which is autstanding.3. Stuff is very friendly and helpful as much as they can.4. Dr. Coyne is one of the best doctors I've ever met. He always listens, taking his time with me, even though sometimes it's not simple because I think I'm not the most disciplined patient. He keeps looking for the options that work, if it needs, and I'm really happy to be his patient.
I'm so impressed by FCC. I called in and spoke with YaYa, she was really helpful and got me in to see the PA-C that afternoon. Then the PA-C had the office call me back to come in earlier because of one of my symptoms. Jennifer, the PA-C, was thorough and gave me some suggestions and follow up labs as needed. I felt well cared for and listened to.
