If I could give negative stars I would. I dont write many reviews online but I just didnt want what happened to my 10 year old daughter to happen to other kids. My daughter went to see Dr. Perkins Tift for an Xray to determine if she had scoliosis. My daughter came home frantic because she had scared her about scoliosis fusion surgery. This was uncalled for as my daughter is not even close to curve progression for surgery. Instead of calming her when giving her diagnosis and telling her about her next step in getting a brace she instead tried to scare her. Before I found this out I had spoken to her regarding which type of brace to get and she really didnt have the new research about the new rigo brace and didnt seem to be up to date with new research on various braces. Then I had left her a message to let me know which Orthotist she recommended and she said she would get back to me and never did. In my opinion she really doesnt care about my young child. Thank god I switched to another orthopedic. Coming from a family of doctors I was very disappointed on how unprofessional and lack of empathy she had. I hope you find this review helpful.
We absolutely loved Dr. Perkins Tift. She was wonderful with my daughter and talked to her as an equal not a child. She listened to everything my daughter had to say and was very patient with us and all the questions we had asked. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has a child with orthopedic concerns.Liz OBlenes
Took my grand daughter to see dr tift for the second time but this time a knee issue.Front office Mariela i believe her name was acknowledged us as we walked in the rest of the girls there greeted us as well.Dr tift is the absolute most adoring pediatric doctor i have ever came across with.explains everything went over the xrays in details so my grand daughter and i understood what was going on.we love to just come and see dr tift in general she makes us feel at ease every time.her assistant Shelley is also a sweet heart.also want to thank Lizbeth who is always so gentle and nice, always goes above and beyond and makes conversation not only with the kids but the family in the room, you can tell she loves to do her job.Thank you dr.tift and staff! If your looking for a kids ortho i recommend her and her team i promise you wont be disappointed!!
We met Dr Tift for the first time. My son injured his elbow and we got a recommendation from a friend to see Dr Tift. Coming in, the front office and nursing staff were nice and we did not have to wait long in the lobby. Dr Tift was very nice and caring. She went over the xrays with us, showing what more than likely happened. He had injured his growth plate on his elbow (possibly a fracture but not really visible in the xray) and as a precaution, his arm was placed in a cast. When my son started crying because he thought that he would miss out on some activities, she took the time to talk to him and help him feel better. I'm so glad that we were able to find such and kind and caring doctor.
I've now been here 3 times. Each time I leave feeling well informed and comfortable with the treatment plan. Great with kids. Staff is friendly and comforting.
Wonderful Orthopedic Dr.!!! She saw my grandchild today regarding pigeon toed feet. We were definitely happy of her diagnosis. She was very informative and also made my granddaughter comfortable. My granddaughter fears Drs. and with Dr. Tift she was happy and comfortable and didn't cry whatsoever. Thank you for seeing my Granddaughter Dr. Tift!!

Great bed side manner. Really understands young athletes. Also, very thoughtful and cautious about remedies, physical therapy, and further assessments and medications.

Though we hate to be injured, we immediately feel reassured after a visit to Dr. Tift

She is a great doctor, it is that simple. But more importantly she is a better person. She really genuinely cares about all of her patients and facilitates the most effective treatment plan that fits every families budget.

In our appointment, I will be honest, we were very frustrated due to the fact we had waited over an hour. Every 15 minutes that passed after waiting an half an hour, we considered leaving and saying forget it. But as soon as she walked in the room all the energy changed. She was this instant bright light of love, joy, compassion, and positivity. She made what once feel like an old dark/dirty room in a building from the 70's, turn into a magical place of healing and understanding.

I wish she had some more help to make her work load a little less, or maybe a twin or a clone. But until then, if you can muster the wait time like us, I promise you won't be disappointed.
