Excellent Surgeon and Results Dr. Huo performed surgery on my lumbar area. I was in much pain and had exhausted all other remedies. Physicals Therapy, Acupuncture, and Injections. Dr. Huo was very informative, and exceptionally patient answering all my questions. My results are from the surgery are excellent, and I am very grateful to Dr. Huo.

I am very grateful that my surgery performed from Dr. Huo was a success. From the first appointment I had a very good impression of Dr. Huo. He performed a detailed evaluation of my condition, and patiently answered many questions. I/we interviewed 3 surgeons before making a decision. The other 2 surgeons had impressive credentials. However, it was evident that Dr. Huo was our best choice based on his experience and communication skills. He was very forthcoming with answers and abundantly patient with all our questions. I/we are so grateful for Dr. Huo and the excellent results I received from surgery. It feels so good to be out of pain, and be able to resume my physical fitness and good quality of life. Dr. Huo practices out of San Juan Capistrano and Fountain Valley.

I felt very comfortable and respected by Dr. Huo. He was thorough, and I liked that his approach was conservative. I was scared going into the appointment, but I left feeling like I'm in good hands!

He’s amazing!! He used some medical terminology that I didn’t know but thoroughly explained everything as he pointed it out on my X-rays! He suggested PT first and didn’t jump right intro surgery which I appreciate.

I had a great experience with Dr. Huo and his office. I was apprehensive to see an orthopedic specialist for my back and glute pain because I was worried that they would tell me I needed surgery. However, this was not my experience. Dr. Huo reviewed all my xray and MRI images with me, clearly explained what we were looking at in each image, why he would not recommend surgery in my case, and took time to answer all of my questions (and there were a lot!). Dr. Huo was kind and happy to explain his recommended course of action and why he would/would not recommend certain treatments for my situation. I appreciated his honesty, patience, and professionalism and clearly is very knowledgeable. If I ever need to go to a spine specialist again, I'll be back to see Dr. Huo. His office was incredibly organized and provided printed after visit summaries with summaries of the results and our discussions. 10/10 would recommend!

I had his surgery about 5 years ago and have been living a truly happy life. He is always kind willing to teach me anything about treatment. You can see how great a surgeon he is by looking at my current condition. I truly believe that having him perform my back surgery was the best decision. I'm Japanese, and he spoke perfect Japanese. I thought how lucky I was. He also understood many other languages! I would definitely recommend Dr. Stephen Huo to your family and friends.

Visit went well, however, Dr. Huo ordered an MRI of my back. I called OCMH Radiology Dept. and they have no doctor’s order for an MRI. I have been trying to contact his office to fix this situation but can’t get through. My appointment is this Monday.
