List of Tam Bui's Reviews
Dr Bui is awesome. The man knows his trade. Staff is nice.
Totally unprofessional, what a waste of time. They said over the phone that they could help then when I got there they said they couldn't do it. They just wanted to bill my insurance company.
Hasn't seen the doctor but the old lady front desk threw us off. She said if you didn't want to wait then find another doctor.
WORST place ever!!! The wait is CRAZY!!! My mom went to this office many times because of her ear's infection. We alway have to wait for atleast 1.5hrs before we get to see DR. BUI TOM. And guess what?? The DR only sees us for less than 10 mins!!!! The receptionist are very rude. It's just so Unprofessional!! They should make appointments with just enough customers to manage or arrange the time for clients. I must find some other place for my mom. This is so bad 👎
Worst ENT ever. As a medical speech pathologist specializing in swallow disorders who have worked alongside ENTs for trach/voice/swallowing for years, I have never met an ENT who made horrible recommendations. My dad has swallowing issues and I advocated for a videofluoroscopic swallow study in the outpatient setting however this ENT Tam Tom Bui did not care to listen to my dad's self advocacy and ordered an x ray of his spine instead... for his swallowing difficulties. Basic anatomy and physiology of the swallow function is in the throat, not the spine. I understand differential diagnosis with ruling out progressive diseases, however, in order to understand dysphagia, a videofluoroscopic swallow study will first determine the cause of the difficulties, rule out/confirm aspiration, then lead to additional referrals as appropriate for further assessment of the cause of dysphagia. After speaking to multiple internal medicine physicians, ENTs, and fellow medical speech pathologists, they all said the same thing: why would an ear, nose, throat doctor who's supposedly trained in swallowing skip steps to order an x ray of the spine without assessing and treating the dysphagia first? Did he even assess the 5 cranial nerves involved in swallowing? Did he consider the predictors of aspiration? Did he consider the pillars of pneumonia from aspiration? No. Because if he did, he would know that a videofluoroscopic is the first step to ACCURATELY diagnosing my dad's dysphagia.
Hubs taken to ER & admitted to Fountain Valley Reg Hospital on 3/12 with extreme vertigo & other symptoms. The first thing that should have been done is an ear exam, which reg oncall dr did. The staff paged and called Dr. Tam Bui who not only never returned the call, he also never showed up to husbands bed to ck his ears.We were told by several staff members at FVRH "there is only ONE ENT on staff, which is "dr" bui, don't hold your breath. There isn't enough $$ for him in the visit, maybe if it was throat or nose, but he never shows up when paged for ears"FVRH-Hire another ENT who sees your admitted patients. He was in hospital 3 days and never saw an ear specialist. He was released to and guess who the referral is for dr lam bui :( I called the office and He doesnt take our insurance and won;t see him out of the hospital either. How about letting the patient know you have NO INTENTION of seeing themeither in or out of hospital due to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.Shameful, we could have been working on finding an ENT who cared We wasted 3 days waiting for you to show up in his room, despite being told by staff, he NEVER shows up. THEN HIRE A DR THAT DOES.I hate our medical system, and this dr is one of the reasons why it sucks so bad.I do have to say that in reading the reviews, "dr" bui is a shitty dr and I am glad we never saw him. Shame on you "dr" bui
Great Doctor!!!!! Office staffs are nice overall. People need to take into consideration that most office staffs are bombarded with countless customers every day so as long as you understand their tasks and meet them half way then there shouldn't be any problem. Now Dr. Bui is friendly, tentative, and most importantly, knows what he's doing. I had an ear blockage and went to my in-network Kaiser doctor but the problem didn't go away. I found Dr Bui on google and decided to go outside of Kaiser's network and pay him a visit, within minutes he was able to drain the blockage and restore my hearing. Overall, a great experience. Thank you Dr. Bui. Totally recommend !!
Avoid this place at all cost! The staff is rude and unprofessional!
Unprofessional and rude, don't believe me then call in and see for yourself. I will not use this office or doctor.
The front office staff is rude. We arrived on time and they don't have the authorization on hand and we had to wait for them to get authorization. They called several times prior to remind my husband of incoming appointment, why couldn't they checked that before.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
