List of Sean Wang's Reviews
I went to meet Dr Sean Wang because I was having a sore throat that lasted longer than usual. He patiently listened to all my symptoms and give me an explanation of the potential virus. He did use the transnasal laryngoscopy on me as well. I was informed before that it may be charged as a surgical device and I was okay with it. The doctor obviously needs tools to diagnose the problem correctly. Dr Wang even patiently explained to me why he was ordering a blood test to confirm diagnosis. I don't agree with the other reviewers comments that he was incompetent because of using the tool. The charge is insurance fault and not doctors fault. The tool was surgically non invasive and really useful. I was blown away when I saw images of my throat. Standard PCP doctors do not have such tools. I really liked the way Dr Sean Wang diagnosed the issue and explained the potential malady. I think he is very competent and has excellent bedside manners.
Dr Sean Wang--super ENT Doctorin the Bay Area..Compassionate,helpful, kind andVery attentive to elderly patient..Knowledgeable in his area of practice and do have the specialEquipment to test you right awayin his office..Senior citizens :take notesDon't get frustrated with your doctor Call and set an appointment with him..Norma
Absolutely Horrible Doctor I was charged 681 dollars for a "Surgery" that was performed to look at my vocal cord to make sure I was not damaging them by working at my bar. The doctor failed to explain to me that what he was doing was a procedure and that it was going to cost 681 dollars after insurance. I was taken to another room the door was not shut and I was still in my work clothes on when he tried looking at my vocal cords but they where to swollen so he told me there was nothing he could really do at the moment that I needed to come back so he could take a look when they weren't inflamed. I would have never approved of the procedure if I knew it was going to cost anywhere near that kind of money and then when I tried fighting it they told me that the doctor wrote down in his notes that he finished the procedure so I had to pay the money. I will NEVER go back to this doctor and strongly urge everyone else that it is not a good option to go to him either.
Excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable and compassionate. Easy to talk with and truly cares about his patients. Highly recommend.
I've been to Dr. Wang twice, both times with outstanding results. He provided great care and suggestions for long term maintenance which has been very successful. I probably should not be giving him such a good review since I would like to see him on Monday for a new problem but he has a week and a half backlog.
Dr. Sean Wang is the best ENT I have seen on the West Coast! I had my first appointment with him last week for suspected LPR and sore throat. He thoroughly listened to all of my concerns as I explained my patient history (allergic rhinitis, deviated septum) and less than five minutes into our exam, he began performing a transnasal laryngoscopy (which is exactly what I had wanted). To my great relief, he told me that I don't have LPR and that my larynx looked "pristine" and vocal cords were healthy with no sign of inflammation. Even better, I got to see my own larynx and vocal cords on the screen, which did much to allay my concerns. For the sore throat, he diagnosed a neck muscle tension issue and recommended applying heated pads and gentle massage (a diagnosis that had never even crossed my mind despite my extensive online research). I have seen many otolaryngologists in NYC, Beirut, Rabat and in the Bay Area (including at PAMF Fremont) over the years but that was by far the most enjoyable and professional encounter I've ever had with an ENT. Dr. Wang thoroughly assuaged my fears. At no time did he appear rushed or unengaged. His demeanor is relaxed, kind and completely professional. It was incredibly reassuring to hear him say that I should "JUST CHILL, it will get better." I already feel so much better. In addition to being an excellent clinician, he is very responsive to his patients via MyHealth Online, answering my message on Monday about a prescription refill request for Rx nasal spray that I had sent him on Friday. I literally do not understand the previous review another Yelper wrote. I highly recommend Dr. Sean Wang without hesitation and I would happily see him again!
Would not recommend anyone to visit him. He gave the feeling he did not care at all about patents concerns and question. He barely checked my daughter and did not give us any clear diagnostics or future steps. Total waste of time and money.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
