he is treating my son and now I'm also his patient. I requested my provider for him specifically as the GI on my referral. Awesome Doctor.

My husband had a procedure scheduled and they prescribed his meds one month before procedure appt. He went on a cleanse diet, took his meds as directed and they called to tell him appt. cancelled because they haven't gotten approval from insurance. I called insurance, and was told the paperwork was only submitted 2 business days ago and std. procedure is to submit 5 business days in advance. Lots of blaming and tempers ; doctor was supposed to call and he never did, and they still cancelled. On the day of procedure, hospital called my husband and said, you are late for your appt. WTF! In short, office staff doesn't know what the heck they are doing. Disorganized and poor communication. They never even called hospital to say the procedure was cancelled. Do not use this physician! Ask your primary care to refer you to someone else! If this is how they handle basic paperwork protocol. Imagine what will happen when you are under anesthesia. YIKES! RUN AND RUN FAST!

I was referred to Dr. Hyder recently, first red flag was the waiting room had NO temperature checks and was packed about 25 people. 2 ladies came in with no masks. I am immune compromised. I waited over an hour after my appointment time. Doc came in the room with mask around his chin. I am in remission from lung cancer. As soon as he saw cancer he said I should go to UCSF where my oncologist is? MIND YOU HE ONLY HAD SEEN ME FOR MAYBE 4 MIN!! He himself is a gastroenterologist. I told him that I would need a referral. That my insurance doesn't just allow me to go to UCSF. He proceeded to call my general physician and tell them that I was REFUSING his care?? Straight LIED??? I left practically in tears!! He is one of the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL doctor I have had to deal with!! Also the office is filthy!!!

He is professional and expert like a family member. He offers cultural congruent care, he always ask about my family. He give me medicines if not available in store. I live in different city but I don’t want to change my doctor. Thank you very much for your help.

Dr. Shakir Hyder is my liver doctor for last 10 years or so. Gentle, soft-spoken and kind personality make me respect this doctor more than ever. He is also a good listener!! In 2019 he has performed double procedures to make sure I am okay. He usually works at CCC office & performs most of the procedures in Washington Hospital. I highly recommend this doctor to my friends and family!! A good doctor & a gentle person. All doctors should be like him in my opinion.

Dr. Hyder is an amazing doctor he has made me feel very comfortable and at ease also following through with keeping in touch with me through my time with Cancer. He has an extremely awesome bed side manner. Thank you Dr. Hyder for all that you have done for me.
