After waiting for several months for a new patient appointment, I cant comment on him personally since I never met him.My appointment was at 3:30, I walked into somewhat of a crowded waiting room, I asked if he was behind schedule, I was told not really. A little after 4:30, I went to see how much longer since I have already been waiting over an hour. I was told I was next to go into an exam room as soon as one became available....it sounded like there were several patients waiting in exam rooms, so I knew I would be waiting probably at least 30 minutes or more. Since I was falling asleep in the waiting room, and starting to get a headache, I just decided to leave without rescheduling.I overheard two patients who left with one rescheduling to try and be the first patient of the day (she was told she is the second patient), which she accepted. If I wasnt so tired, I would have inquired on the patients behalf (about the new appointment) and ask how many patients were scheduled at the same time. What patients dont understand is the first appointment of the day does not necessarily mean you are going to be seen first. There could be several patients that are scheduled as first appointments. Doctors offices overbook patients, so you can have two or more patients scheduled at the same time as your appointment.Side note: I was not impressed with the waiting room, there were several chairs (I guess want to be leather) where the coating was worn to the point of cracking and pieces missing. How do you disinfect the chairs?you cant and just one restroom for everyone (patients) to use (nasty). With that being said, I dont feel the waiting room is sanitary, and if the waiting room is like that, I can only imagine what the exam rooms are like. With the pandemic that is going on, I would think the office would have gotten the damaged chairs replaced or at least covered and everything wiped down including the restroom (high touch areas) after use.Maybe they do attempt to try and disinfect the chairs? Not when I was there.Based on the present condition of the waiting room (germ magnet), the long wait and the reviews from the other patients, I will not be rescheduling.
I would give zero stars if I could. I like to think that I'm pretty patient. But this doctor pushed me to my limits. I was a lot younger than the patients waiting that day. I went through a lot with several seizures leading to many strokes a major one at that it nearly took mine and unborn daughter's life at the time when I was 2 months pregnant. Long story short I was referred to him because I was having terrible headaches and seizures while asleep. After waiting a long time in his office (I didn't mind I was used to long waits at drs. Offices). It was my turn to be seen. He seemed quite annoyed with me and it was our first meeting. He asked about my medical history and I told him the best I could remember. Most of my health issues I was unconscious or sedated and couldn't remember. This man had the nerve to ask me "why are you here?" I said for the reasons I had explained and per my primary care physician's referral. He continued to get more annoyed and seemingly angry? I couldn't help not giving the answers he wanted. I was so frustrated and mad I walked out of there in tears. He was so arrogant and rude! Never will I walk in that office again. I pray that he changes how he treats people. Or maybe I'm extra sensitive but I would never treat anyone the way he did ever. Worst experience I ever had with a doctor.
Dr. Mehdi's expertise gave my father's ability to walk back to him. After 6 months of seeing 3 other neurologists, multiple doctors in other fields and countless scans we found Dr. Mehdi. He was able to diagnose my father quickly and start treatment as soon as we found an agency who could do it. Within 2 months of my fathers treatment start date, he was walking with the help of a walker and cane, and within 3 months he was walking unaided. We truly believe Dr. Mehdi is the only reason my father is walking to this day.
I would stay away from this guy, he defines the definition of quack. His idea of an evaluation of possible dementia is equal to stacking alphabet blocks. I hate to be harsh but it needs to be told. This guy needs to be sent packing.
Two hour wait times aside, my personal experience is I recently made an appointment over the phone. The next day I happened to walk in to pick up paperwork and decided to verify my appointment only to find that the person on the phone never put it in the computer so I had to schedule it again. Later that week the office called to reschedule my 4:30 appointment for 3:15. I didnt get to see the doctor until 4:45. What was the point of rescheduling. Its ridiculous to keep patients waiting that long. The doctor is unfriendly and is dismissive. Changing doctors.
Really wish I'd read the reviews here before going to my appointment today. Waited almost 2 hours past my appointment time. He was short, rude, went on a long tirade, offered me the name of a drug rep?, said my primary care doctor should have tried all these other tests and drugs first before referring me, and that he has "actually sick patients that are dying." I never argued, was silent for most of the visit. Just answered answered his questions. So if you're not "actually sick or dying" my advice is don't waste your time coming here unless you'd like to cry in your car after your appointment out of shock. I've worked in an ER with doctors and have seen a few other specialists and never seen them be so rude to patients, even ones that are screaming and being rude to them. I really don't know what else to say.
In the first 2 visits, the Staff was nice and Tentative. Too go back and see the Doctor after having a 48 hour testing to wear, we were treated like caged Animals waiting to be Slaughtered. We were placed in a room and after 1.5 hours of waiting, i exited the room to the Nurse desk. Asked how much longer to wait and was told that there were 2 rooms ahead of us. We politely asked that the Results be sent to our Doctor of which never happened. Since, our Doctor has been asking for the Records for 2 months now, and still not records sent to our Primary Doctor. I cannot even give this guy 1 star, but the system will not allow me to Post if i don't. Find someone else that Cares.
Office way over books Dr. Mehdi. Each visit was a wait of 1 hour at MINIMUM. No regard for the patients time. Didn't dictate all that he said to me so there is missing information on his visit reports.
He ignored symptoms I had listed. Told me he was only there to determine if I had Parkinsons or not. He was my approved referral by my insurance company. He was dismissive and rude.
Do NOT go to this doctor if you have the option to choose. This man was very rude, arrogant, and short tempered with my mother when I took her in for an appointment. First of all he was almost 2 hours late to our appointment when we were the first appointment of the day. When he finally does show up he walks into the room and has a bad attitude from the start and does not even introduce himself to us. He would ask my mother medical questions and then cut her off saying “ok that’s enough/That’s not important/That doesn’t matter.” Like I said very rude and arrogant was his whole attitude throughout our visit. Towards the end of the visit he got so annoyed with me having to translate for my mother (because she spoke Spanish) that he got up, said to schedule the next appointment in the front desk and was done talking. He then stormed out of the room with his hands in the air like he was so over it. It was so frustrating to sit through that and there was mostly elderly people there that I just know he takes advantage of by acting that way towards themknowing that they can’t defend themselves.*UPDATE*The next two visits here after the initial visit were a much better experience and more professional.
If I could give him 0 stars or negative stars I would. Ive been to a lot specialists and doctors and I dont think Ive met a doctor or a person in general who is rude and condescending. He had a serious god complex... I been doing sub cutaneous injections to myself for years, I been on biologics for years, and I dont do autoinjectors, the idea of a needle shooting into you and having no control of the medicine going into you (biologics are painful) makes me anxious. Ive had nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and cortisone shots, Im no stranger to painful procedures, but Im not going to inflict pain on myself when I dont have to. He was so rude about it, Im not asking for reassurance but to be rude about it and tell me to do it myself and such is beyond me. He also dismissed my symptoms and was questioning why I got off most medication and why I left doctors. Well its simple, I dont want to take things that add to my problem and I dont like rude or dismissive doctors. Thanks for the prescription to Emtegrity and the discount card, wont be back... Im trying to live out my life as a 24 year old and trying to live it to the fullest and trying to get better last thing I need is a rude, condescending doctor when theres plenty of neurologists here and elsewhere. Also should mention he was quite rude to his staff, I felt extremely bad for themUpdate: I ended up having to go to a specialist in Stanford, I have autonomic nervous system dysfunction... I KNEW I did not have migraines, go back to med school or maybe open up your mind a little more, it disappointing that no local neurologists know of dysautonomia and even more disappointing when doctors act like they know it all and they dont.
Best doctor in California . Very knowledgeable Neurologist. I wanted to give 10 stars but I can only give 5 stars
I am surprised this guy has time to practice medicine I thought he was too busy walking on water. I have never met a Dr. so impressed with himself and without any reason to feel that way. He is rude, arrogant, and without time for people. He is so bad he makes his staff look good and they are not. If you are referred to him demand another doctor. This person does not deserve any stars and if he has any they should be taken away.
Very arrogant. Doesn’t give clear answers. If u want answers that are helpful go somewhere else.
Greeting place
Always have to wait for 2 hours or so when I bring my father in law here and staff is not that nice, would so love to find another neurologist that values their patients time. I dread coming here!!!
Id give a zero if permitted. My appointment was for 9. An hour later he showed up to work. 45 minutes later, I was called back. I was 2 months postpartum and had to bring my baby. Waiting an extra hour and 45 with an infant is not cool. Frontdesk lady was nice. Vitals lady was quite rude when I asked if the doctor had finally arrived. Like it was some secret that she had to protect her boss. Exam with the doctor was the most inadequate, notthorough I have ever experienced with a doctor, let alone a neurologist. He seemed extremely uncaring and didnt really listen to me. He also kept bringing up fecal pellets or capsules, or something like that. Extremely offputting, especially since it could not have been more off topic. Dont make appointments for when youre not there, and if you make an appointment, SHOW UP. One of the worst doctors I have ever seen.
Office wait over 1 hour not complete on exam . Came in with pAin in face he wants MRI on brain not face. Take to ladies in office, ask them to talk to Dr about what’s going on , said sure never heard anything back. After next appointment will definitely tell if I’ll be back.
Office staff is too rude, Dr abbas might be good doctor but staff did the damage for me. I choose to go to different neurologist the way his staff answered the phone.Dr Abbas please read reviews, your staff can hurt your buisness in long run
