List of Ashley R Nelson's Reviews
I find Dr. Nelson to be very professional. She is well prepared for my visit after reading all pertinent testing results. She is honest and forthcoming in providing me with caring and worthwhile suggestions for me to follow. She is an excellent communicater as well as a being a patient listener.
She was very judgmental and was wrong about everything right from the start. She doesn’t take the time to read your history. She just looks at you and judges. She’s also very defensive. That’s unprofessional.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Nelson. I had my first visit this week. I am very nervous about going to the doctor but Dr. Nelson made me feel less tense. My experience was similar to those of other favorable reviewers. Dr. Nelson was a very good listener and she worked with me to discuss my health goals and make health plans. When she gave advice it was evident that she had been listening to me she did not use generic doctorspeak. My visit was not rushed. My appointment began on time and the nurse and office staff were friendly and professional. When I forgot to ask one question at the visit and used my patient portal to email it to Dr. Nelson she responded very quickly. I was able to schedule a followup appointment on a day and time that worked for me.
Both my husband and I find Dr. Nelson thorough insightful and caring. She spends all the time we need with her whenever we see her and she is very responsive to our inquiries. We are treated like smart people individually and together.
I changed Doctors in Oct. 2019. While it is easy to get into see this doctor once in things change.I am on Medicare and the labs she is ordering need additional diagnosis or a different code so Medicare will pay for them. She seems to be unwilling to first write down the code correctly the first time and unwilling to recode and add additional dx so Medicare pays. It takes about 3 months for Medicare to pay for labs and then you need to submit or recode the DX or you wind up paying for the tests. It leaves you with two choices to either not have the labs done and risk being labelled a noncompliant and therefore difficult clientpatient or getting them done and paying the difference from what Medicare does not cover. There is more i have to say but at this time i am not going to state my other reasons for such a poor health care grade. There are also issues with time management and referrals to Specialists not receiving lab reports ahead of an emergency doctor appointment. So Doctors appts have to be done and redone which is time consuming for both the Patient and the Doctors.
Dr. Nelson continues to be my internist because when I find a professional caring doctor I am smart enough to consider this a treasured find. Not only is she thorough with ones updated medical information she is always a good listener and makes decisions that are pertinent to a medical concern. Her staff is efficient and very professional.
I saw Dr. Ashley Nelson for the first time in the beginning of April and I immediately took to her warm and caring personality. She showed genuine interest and concern for my health issues and took the time to answer my questions. I highly recommend Dr Ashley Nelson to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable physician.
My visit with Dr. Nelson was the worst experience I have ever had with a Dr. She has no heart. I wish I never met her. My health is worse not better. She would not listen to me she needs more compassion.
Dr Nelson is a caring and thorough physician. She addressed my concerns and helped to set goals for future health improvements
Dr. Nelson is everything anyone could possible want in a physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
