Directderm's Online Review Report Card

Had my first appointment with DirectDerm Fresno today, and it was a great experience. Front office staff and medical assistant were very friendly, and professional. The provider who saw me was Stephen Cooley, PA-C, and he was nothing short of fantastic . . . genuine, professional, thorough, patient, listened well, humble. I would recommend anyone I know to see him. Thank you DirectDerm, and thank you Stephen Cooley, PA-C!

I always wait 2hrs for an appointment here. Waiting room is super tiny. Literally 8chairs and it's always busy.

Don't schedule your appointment on the day you have stuff to do because this place will make you lose that time. Very slow service and it seems like they don't even go by appointment time. Thought if brought my daughter In 20 minutes early we should be done But I was wrong sat her for an hour past past our appointment time. Never have I ever had to sit here and put a bad review on someone while sitting and their establishment..

Pierdes mucho tiempo, tus citas están programadas a cierta hora y no te atienen, a veces te pasan al cuarto y aún ahí tienes que esperar por casi otros 40 minutos, nunca son puntuales. Esa fue la experiencia que yo tuve y no me gustó además tardan un mes en darte tu cita de seguimiento,

Really saddened by my experience here. The website makes it seem like you can get a quote on dermatology services. You give them your insurance information so that they have it for your consultation appointment-I was told an in-office consul would be $160 if my insurance didn't cover anything-sounded okay to me. A few days after filling out the online forms, I see a $300 claim to my insurance--no idea if my insurance will cover this. Most likely, they will not unfortunately (my coverage is not the best). I called this office to cancel my upcoming appointment and asked them to reverse the $300 claim. There is nothing on their website that states you will be charged $300 to fill out an online questionaire. I understand that a doctor did review my questions and made a suggested treatment. If it was clear that it was a telehealth service and the charge was stated up front, I would completely understand and hope for the best for my insurance. This was not that. The website says nothing about telehealth appt, dr consultation or any fees. I feel so bummed out by this. Another negative healthcare experience. I wish health providers would be like any other purchase, the cost stated up front where you can say yes, i'll pay that, or no, can't afford it and would never spend $300 on a website visit.

I waited on hold for a long time and then was hung up on by some lady when I finally got through on 10/22/24 around 3:30 pm

Review as of 1/3/2025: Not sure what happen to this office staff. The front desk service at this office used to be helpful, but for the past month or so, service was poor and the receptionist will intentionally hang up on you and don’t call you back. I was promised a call back from a supervisor or manager, but forget it, they don’t care anymore. Quality has significantly dropped. I was erroneously billed due to the office negligence, I’ve been trying to get this sorted out by calling their office, but they will never call you back. Original review: This dermatology office is easy to work with. The receptionist on the phone is always helpful. The provider responds in a timely matter to address my concerns. Overall a great experience.
