List of Edward Leroy's Reviews
My surgeon referred me to this kind man, as I am too old to be a back surgery candidate. This has truly improved the quality of my life. Thank you!
My 78-year-old husband was referred to Dr. LeRoy five years ago. Dr. LeRoy was rude and abrupt on our first visit, but we just chalked it up to having a bad bedside manner. We felt that we could ignore his incredible rudeness if he could help my husband with his pain. We saw him for several appointments and were consistently amazed at how cruel and unfeeling his comments were to us. He didn't even want me in the room during the consultations. Thankfully, we started to see Ladonna Holt, his NP, four years ago and she was wonderful! She was his exact opposite but, unfortunately for us, she left so we've been stuck with Dr. LeRoy. At our last appointment my husband had just been released from the hospital with pneumonia and he told Dr. LeRoy that. Dr. LeRoy's response was a very sarcastic, "Well, the last time I spoke to you, you had just recovered from COVID." As if it was my husband's fault he suffered from these common illnesses. He was so uncaring and didn't even ask him how he was feeling now. As the consultation went on, my husband told the doctor that on days when his pain level is not severe, he takes less medication than is prescribed. That sent the doctor into a rage. The doctor accused my husband of lying and asked him, "What is wrong with your mind?" He asked my husband the first name of his heart doctor and my husband only remembered the heart doctor's last name because really, how many of us call our doctors by their first names??? Dr. LeRoy became furious that my husband couldn't remember and then yelled, "I'm going to get you a new pain management doctor." We were shocked. We've never before been treated with such a lack of respect and common courtesy by any medical professional. Dr. LeRoy is devoid of empathy, compassion, and professionalism. We talked to our family physician following this visit with Dr. LeRoy and she agreed that this behavior on the part of a physician is not acceptable. She has already recommended a new pain management doctor for my husband, so we don't need to deal with this quack anymore. No patient deserves to be treated this way. He is a disgrace to doctors everywhere.
This "doctor" is awful. Verbally assaults patients and swears AT them. Clearly in medicine for all the wrong reasons. The guy is a p*ssy. Not even worthy of being called a man. You're in a wheelchair bro - get over it and stop being a bitter little b*tch who takes it out on others who are truly in pain yet you have some sick "I have it worse so f you" complex because they can walk and you lost that ability some time ago. Can't imagine how much worse he was before such a humbling a life changing event like being put in a wheelchair for the rest of his time on this earth. I know quads with far more zeal for life that have a positive disposition so there is no excuse for this miserable prick. Zero compassion, empathy, patience or even the decency to remember things and then demeans those who struggle with memory loss and makes them feel even more afraid and vulnerable on top of being in pain. It's sad he let becoming disabled ruin his whole life. Mindset is everything. Unfortunately he's just weak and pathetic. Do yourself a huge favor - don't go here.
Dr Leroy is a knowledgeable and a caring doctor who comes off as a little gruff. Don’t let this deter you. He is the most knowledgeable and compassionate doctor I have worked with in 20+ years of chronic pain issues.
I have lived with severe and disabling chronic pain since I was 14 years old .. that being the case I have seen many doctors in this town! I have had positive experiences and also some negative ones which is par for the course when seeing pain doctors.. but I have never in all of these years had a doctor treat me the way Dr. Leroy did. He was is absolutely AWFUL!!! I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.. saying that he is rude and condescending is an understatement! On my first appointment before he said anything else he berated me for not being vaccinated telling me I was putting him and his staff in danger , he then put me on a med that contradicted what I was already on and made me very sick.. in trying to get off of this after 3 months and trying to understand how to do it safely he basically called me stupid and told me most people would understand how to do it . When he would ask me a question and I was trying to answer he told me I wasn't allowed to speak when he was speaking and then he would rudely interrupt me. I would have full blown panic attacks before I had to see him. I had to bring my husband with me because he made me so uncomfortable and would speak to me like I was completely beneath him! This is the man I had to trust to ensure I made it through my surgery safely. It is hard enough having to live with chronic pain but then to have a doctor gaslight you and speak to you like you're trash is more than cruel..you're doctor should treat you with compassion and respect and this man did the absolute opposite. I am now stuck trying to get off of the medicine he convinced me to be on ! I could go on and on ..if you're thinking about seeing him DO NOT!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!
I would like to add to my previous review. Even though I have been in pain the whole time I was Dr Leroy's pt. So much so that sometimes I would pray at night that God would let my die that night. My cancer Dr got me in to palliative care at Clovis Cancer center. i have met the doctors there and they are wonderful, They have already made medicine changes that are helping me. Now instead of praying for death at night, the song that rings in my ears "Bright stars are watching the world as it sleepsShepherds watch over the little white sheepThe lighthouse is shining for ships far at seaAs God keeps the night watch for you and for meSo sleep, sleep in peace and restDon't be afraid of the darknessAll's well for over the land and the seaGod's keeping the night watch for you and for me."Now I wish Dr. Leroy had fired me years ago.
Dr Leroy should be held accountable for the way he treats patients. He has verbally and openly mistreated my husband. He is incredibly rude and belittles you when he is in a sour mood that day. His office has a revolving door for staff and patients. He made it clear he doesn't care about how you feel and doesn't take what you say into consideration and when called on it he gets pissed off and treats you worse. I have heard these conversations happen via video call. He is absolutely a terrible pain management doctor. When someone is hurting a doctor is supposed to find a way to fix the problem or manage it. He makes you feel worse for everything you say or do and tries to pump you full of narcotics! He just kept asking my husband if he wanted more and more pills and my husband refused them. He was irritated that nothing he wanted to do was working or worked and my husband didn't want to take more pills. His solution was take more addictive narcotics!!
I will start by saying I am an RN. Since Covid I have had to deal with this doc. Before, I saw his NP all have been wonderful. He never remembers what is wrong with me (A lot) I will say my case is complicated, but each time I have to go over it again. When I first see a new dr I take a printed out 7 page health history. This week's t/c was an abomination. Costco could not get my meds, by the time I got them, I had run out. I had some leftover from his NP, so I used those. Just one of my many problems is bone cancer for which I get chemo. My lower back causes excruciating pain down both legs. My legs just give way and a recent fall caused a head laceration that went clear to the bone and I was hospitalizEd. This doc asked me how to spell one of my diseases. When he found out I used the NP meds as a fill in he was angry. He yelled at me and said he knew he was being mean but he could no longer be my dr because I could not be trusted? Also I just had too many diseases that he did not want to deal with. He is in a wheel chair due to a motorcycle accident and I do not think he has dealt with his loss. I feel he needs professional help. I see there are some positive reviews. I am happy he is nice to some of his patients. With me has always been short, quick tempered, and rude. He is not willing to answer questions, he is quick to say "that is not what I asked, just answer the questions I ask". Good luck if you choose him for a doctor. I have never had problems with office staff or NP'S.
I went to see Dr Leroy because my pain doctor who was great went to Kaiser. I have usually seen the nurse practitioners. Since Covid I have had to take telephone calls from Leroy, they have never been pleasant and always has exhibited yelling in some fashion. I asked about his injury one time and said I was sorry. He said, “Why are you sorry, you had nothing to do with it, you remind me of some smarmy lady from the south saying oh you poor dear. I am so sorry. I dealt with this 30 years ago and I don’t need your sympathy.” Well after that I learned to say yes sir no sir. When he called this week I had run out of meds due to pharmacy issues. So I used some his nurse had ordered. He screened I could not be trusted and he would no longer be my dr and I had 15 days to find someone new. Maybe this has been an answer to a prayer I had yet to pray. I have incurable cancer + a lot more painful stuff and I need a caring dr to help me through my final days. I certainly don’t want him.
My primary care physician directed me to see Dr. Leroy. Dr. Leroy had exceptional reviews for this referral. Dr. Leroy has saved my career as a professional pianist. He is professional, yet friendly. He takes plenty of time reviewing aspects of my health challenges. No doctor is more caring. He is A+ in all respects. In this difficult time of pandemic, it seems rather absurd that a few of the patients' reviews badmouthed the hard-working office staff!
