Hernandez's Online Review Report Card

I want to start of by saying this was the worst experience I have ever had at any doctors office. The staff there is pretty good never had a problem with them, the problem is doctor hernandez, she is very rude she dosent let you talk cuts you off and when you have an opinion she tells you not to self Diagnose. I have a 10 month old she's been getting seen there since she was a newborn. The first few visits were ok not the best the fast forward few months the first thing was that my daughter needed her 9 month shots but she didn't schedule it till a month later wich now my daughter is behind on her shots . But the worst experience was recently I took her in because she was having an allergic reaction to something prior to the visit we took her to the ER they told us to follow with her doctor so we did. So she walks in asked what caused the allergic reaction told her I try to explain she cut me off , then I try showing her the hives on my baby she was like "yea yea they come and go" . So I asked for a medication she didn't really pay attention just told me to wash it with regular water . I told her I wanted something she just said give her Benadryl but didn't say wich one no dosages or nothing , then I asked if I could have a refill on a cream she had prescribed my daughter for a very bad diaper rash she got before because it was coming back , she then said to show her the cream so I did then in a very rude tone said that the cream wasn't for rash when she clearly prescribed it to use before she then Said she dosent need cream just use water . To sum this up dr hernandez is a horrible pediatrician because of the lack of people, we are first time parents and don't need to be treated this way especially in a time of need whe your child is sick you already have that stress you don't need someone else adding to the problem.

I took my 10 year old daughter to get a COVID test at North West Medical group when her school demanded she get tested because another student in her class had tested positive. They administered her 2 test, one with immediate results, and a second that had to be sent to a lab and takes 2 days to get the results. Her school would not let her back in school with out negative results, so when I went back to see Dr Hernandez and get the results, they refused to provide me with the documentation that the school is required to have so that she could get back to her class. They stated that she had to wait 2 days for the other lab results before they would release any documentation stating she doesn't have COVID-19. I asked the person at the front desk how they could withhold medical information from me about my daughter and she said that they weren't, so I told her to print me out something that says her initial test was negative so she doesn't have to miss any more school, and she did that.

She was a kind and funny woman but extremely dismissive of my symptoms. I had the misfortune of having her as my PCP as a teenager which was awful because she never did absolutely anything for me because she never believed ANYTHING I said. The reason I’m now reviewing her services as an adult is due to the reason that every single symptom I was complaining to her about as a pre-teen and teenager are the same exact symptoms that evolved into a life threatening illness that has plagued my 20s. Had she believed me, I could’ve gotten tested & diagnosed significantly sooner but because most doctors are so dismissive, as they all were when I legally became an adult no other doctor believed me until it was too late and as a result I’ve been living in and out of hospitals all throughout my 20s. My illness would’ve never progressed to such a severe level had I just been believed.It makes no sense that she couldn’t just get me tested for the different symptoms I was expressing because I had really good insurance as a child. Instead, she ignored what I said, gave my parents a weird look and I had to suffer for YEARS with problems that I didn’t understand why they were happening and I knew they were real even when her dismissive attitude had convinced my parents I was a lazy hypochondriac. Lastly, for many years that I saw her, I repeatedly complained about severe headaches, I remember she got so tired of me saying that she didn’t even look at me and said I wasn’t drinking enough water and dropped the subject. Once again she convinced my parents I was a hypochondriac, that was the mid 2000s. At 22 I was FINALLY believed by a doctor about them and was referred to a neurologist, the MRI showed indication of life long migraines and in 3 months the medication drastically changed my life.I never realized how migraines ruined so much of my daily life because I had grown accustomed to them, my grades improved drastically, my moods, everything. I didn’t deserve to suffer almost daily migraines as a teen and the damage it caused all because my “doctor” didn’t believe me and I had to suffer. Especially when my insurance would’ve covered everything. I really hope that after reading this you take your patient’s complaints more seriously because my life would’ve been so much better had I been believed from the very beginning, but no, being chronically ill we really have to fight to find a doctor who actually listens.

The first time we had met dr.Hernandez our baby was about 5 days old.She was not welcoming and seemed more interested in making us feel like we knew nothing rather than helping out with our questions.This was our first child and we were obviously new parents,so we didn’t know a simple question of asking how often to cut their nails would get such a snarky answer and an eye roll.I thought maybe I’m just hormonal and took it wrong.No.Fast forward to the next couple checks ups where she was also rude and accusing.We had also brought our baby in at 4mo because she seemed constipated,dr.Hernandez walks in and asks what the issue was,so I begin to explain I think she is constipated she cuts me off with an eye roll saying“ugh let’s not self diagnose, tell me the symptoms.”Moving on to the rest of the appointment;she says she doesn’t really need water, but maybe some apple juice diluted,so I asked dilute it with what and she responds with water...Needless to say we are at first pediatrics now.

Cant believe this dr is still in Fresno my daughter saw her in 1992. She miss diagnosis my daughter.

Dr. Hernandez is always helpful and never rushes while treating our children. It is very easy to schedule an appointment with her office and the ladies that work the front desk are always and have always been accommodating to our family. We have four children and feel like we are here often.

Dr Hernandez is very thorough! She does not rush patients and will answer any questions you have about your child. She is very pro-active in her treatments without being an alarmist. Additionally, she addresses her young patients personally and makes them feel comfortable. All three of our children gladly make the hour long drive to see Dr. Hernandez.
