Yes, Dr. Issa can come across arrogant. And yes, he will drop you for missed appointments. I know because he dropped me when he was my doctor when I was in my 20's and arrived late to everything. I have had another doctor since being dropped from him. Now, 20 something years later and with me being almost 50, I dropped my doctor and returned to Issa. Why....because he knows his stuff. He is thorough, meticulous and cares a great deal about people's health and wellbeing. I do not want him because of his bedside manner or spiritual beliefs. I don't care if arrogance drives him to be a great doctor, not that I'm saying he's arrogant. I did pick him because he runs tests no other doctor has ran, looks for things no other doctor has looked for and thinks outside the box to get positive results. I don't need to break bread with the man, I just need a doctor who cares enough about his profession to keep me alive and healthy for my kids! Needless to say, I am now on time to my appts.
Wonderful, Dr. Issa is always interested in my health and go alway above my expectations. He is one the the few doctors in Fresno that I would ever recommend to my friends. My husband and I have been his patients for 20 years and feel like family.
He has taken such good care of all my needs, even beyond.
Arrogant and apathetic
Went it for a routine exam; tests came back clean, but Dr Issa saw something he didn’t like and performed a biopsy; stage 3 cancerous dysplasia of my cervix; caught in time for surgical treatment; I was only 25. Without his keen eye, and willingness to go beyond the initial tests, my outcome may been much different; I have been monitored for the next 25 years by any at risk ob/gyn who has been fabulous, but I will always give credit to Dr Issa for catching what could have been so much worse if not treated when it was.
This doctor's office is obviously in it for the money. I'm a dialysis patient and they denied me because of my insurance. Pure greed.

Gives off the impression he is superior and everyone else is beneath him. Was referred to a specialist (3 actually) I had to cancel one of the appointments and reschedule. Dr Issa office called to remind me of a follow up appointment (for reviewing the specialist visit I had to cancel) and I let the office know, there was nothing to discuss because I had missed the appointment. I missed the rescheduled specialist, due to 1) my phone was lost I had no calendar/alerts, and at the same time my kids father died the same week of unexpected causes. The next Sunday, I had a knock at my door, certified letter stating he was dropping me from his panel!!!!! Just a complete Jerk. Unbelievable!!!!

Had scheduled appointment 3 days in advance with flu symptoms. Morning of appointment I was called by office to go to urgent care...thank you for making me suffer for days when I could have gone to urgent care sooner. BTW, patient for 25 years with MD.

Called to make an appt as a new pt. Was told this doctor has strict rules and will dismiss pts if he feels the rulethey have to ask the doctor for “permission” before scheduling an appt. I called back 2 days later (they said they’d call me the next day) and was told Dr. Issa denied my request (!). I asked why and was told he “doesn’t think it’s the right fit.” I’ve never met this man, he doesn’t know anything about me, I only contacted his office because he’s on my PPO plan. Maybe he doesn’t like what my ins co pays? Doesn’t matter, sounds like discrimination to me. Shame on him.
Be prepared for this Dr. to review your chart to decide if he wants to accept you. Waited 3 months for appointment only to receive a voicemail the morning of informing that the appointment was cancelled due to condition and medications prescribed and treated by a specialist. Up side, the staff was friendly in delivering the news that the Dr. stated I was not a “good fit” for his practice.
Poor I would not recommend.

Dr. Issa is outstanding as a physician. He is kind, caring, and thorough. He is attentive to all your concerns and always prompt to respond to laboratory results. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Issa refuses to work with getting new female patients in. The staff assistant had told me to arrive 30 minutes earlier to my appointment less than 24 hours before. When I explained it wasn’t possible on such short notice, she very rudely said “that’s not our problem.” When I showed up to my appointment they told me they didn’t take my insurance, even though he is listed as a provider that takes my insurance which was confirmed at the time I made the appointment. I had taken time off of work for this appointment, and was turned away. When I called later to speak with the office manager she greeted me by saying “what’s your problem” and the conversation ended with her telling me Dr. Issa’s office is refusing to see me. Unfortunately for Dr. Issa, his staff is making it very clear he is not accepting new patients even though his status on every health insurance plan says he is accepting new patients.
