My experience with Dr. Monteleone has always been verypositive. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and experienced. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
I was a little concerned having to find a doctor in town. I am from Madera and am comfortable with a small town kind of doctor. Dr Monteleone and his staff made me feel very welcome and cared for. He took the time to explain to me the "overall" plan he had for me as far as a new patient. He actually asked me if I had any questions and REALLY listened to me AND made eye contact. I feel very good about continuing to see Dr Monteleone and would recommend him to anyone I cared for.
Dr. Monteleone is a "patient first" doctor. Very thorough and "tells it like it is". My husband and I have been patients over 30 years and 4 of our adult sons have been patients from birth. John is more than convenient, he is like a distant relative.
Excellent MD. I have been a patient for approximately 20 years.
Wastes your time He refuses to see you for more than one issue at a time (aka physical and tetanus shot) and I’ve literally walked out without seeing him after waiting 3+ hours for a scheduled appointment (and had to fight with the staff to get my copay back even though I was never even taken back into the exam room). He does not respect me or my time.
I agree with others. Saw him 2 months ago for Rx maintenance. Won’t refill Rx now unless I go in for appointment. Really??? Before COVID I had to walk out on two appointment because I ran out of time. Appointment @ 10am. Waited an hour and twenty minutes. Rescheduled for first appointment to avoid lateness. He was 30 min late ???? I’m giving up on this guy… he’s nice enough and seems caring. Just lookout. He won’t see you on time and he’ll want to see you every 3-6 months for maintenance Rx.
I had an awful experience at this whole office. Peachwood has really gone downhill since I was a kid. The office staff here are rude and unhelpful. They never listen to any messages so don't bother leaving one. The scribe who works with Dr. Monteleone is super creepy and off-putting. Dr. Monteleone himself is very dismissive and will not deal with or answer more than 1 question per visit. He loves to make you come in multiple times for no reason just to charge your insurance. Good luck ever getting a referral from this office, they can't even pull it together to get that done.
My mother in law see Dr. Monteleone since he took over a practice. He is the worse doctor I have ever heard of, he does not hear his patients out on their pains or complaints. He treats his Medicare patients like they are nothing. My mother in law has been in pain for years and has told him but she always has to make an appointment for one thing at a time only. He doesn't even go over bloodwork when he has it. Now my mother in law is in hospital with severe sickness all because he could of easily diagnosed her and prescribed her what she needed or given her treatment. His license should be taken away . Do not waster your time with this doctor or his staff.
Dr. Monteleone took over a practice from a great doctor only to drive the majority of those patients away. I have had nothing but issues with his inability to treat issues and money grabbing antics. If you need a refill on your maintenance medicine then you need to make separate appointments for each and every prescription. He will only see you for one issue at a time and makes you make several appointments for issues ie: Cough and runny nose two appointments needed so he can charge the ins.
Called into the doctors office for some perceptions and yearly blood work that needed to be done as well as my main complaint of torn rotator cuff. Upon the nurse aha why I'm being seen and I inform her I just needed to get my blood work, refills and shoulder looked at like I said when I made the appointment. She then tells me that the doctor will only see me for one issue and I'll need to decide which one to be seen for and make three other appointments for the blood work and each prescription

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
