Razia Sheikh's Online Review Report Card

I took my daughter to see Dr. Sheikh for upper abdominal pain. Without trying to figure out what the issue was she proceeded to lecture and give suggestions to my daughter on weight loss. My daughter suffers from hypothyroidism and has struggled with weight issues in her young life. I kept trying to explain all of this to the dr. and told her that my daughter was already working on her weight loss but she refused to listen. She prescribed her Miralax for constipation. This week I had to take my daughter to the ER for the pain and it turns out she has gallstones. Dr. Sheikh has no compassion and no intent of working with her patients to manage their health issues. She is the type of doctor who contributes to patients not wanting to seek medical care.

Dr is great so I would actually give her 3.5 stars. As for the staff, well we've been coming here for over 18 years and in the last 3-5 years they recently "upgraded" and went with Healthnet. I don't know who does the hiring but the receptionist are not fully trained or even knows what they're doing. Even when asked about billing, they can't even give you a quote. You already know it's gonna be a shitty visit when they don't greet you or even acknowledge you. My advise, hire more qualified receptionists. Sadly we will be leaving this place and looking some place else since we've got 4 other young kids. Just found out she's not even a receptionist, she's a medical assistant I believe her name tag read Madison? She's always on her phone, no wonder she doesn't acknowledge you.

Please contact medical board of California to file a complaint due to incompetence. Razia shouldn't be a doctor under any circumstances. She is hostile, rude, aggressive and very opinionated. She will not listen to your concerns. Her only concern is the child's weight being obese, when my child is not. My child is indeed healthy. She is rough with my child and has no empathy. Terrible doctor who I can't believe is still in practice. She has a cold bedside manner and her medical degree is not from the US. Her diagnoses skills are terrible as is her attitude. Dirty office, dirty examination rooms, rude pediatrician, rude staff. Spend your insurance money elsewhere, where you are valued.

I HONESTLY BELIEVE THIS IS THE WORST DOCTORS OFFICE IN FRESNO, CA. DR. SHIEHK RUSHES THROUGH EVERY APPOINTMENT WITH A SCRIPTED DIALOGUE REGARDING DIETING. THE WAIT TIME IS RIDICULOUS, NO LESS THAN TWO HOURS. SHE HAS NEVER LISTENED TO MY CONCERNS. ON MANY OCCASSIONS SHE HAS TOLD ME MY DAUGHTERS WERE OBESE AND THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT. A TIME IN THE PAST SHE SCOLDED ME FOR REFUSING THE FLU SHOT SIMPLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO DO MORE OF MY OWN RESEARCH. SHES ISN'T VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING AS A PEDIATRICIAN SHOULD BE. WHOEVER MAKES THE CALLS FOR REMINDERS OF APPTS WILL BLOW UP YOUR PHONE LIKE SALLY MAE OR SOME OTHER BILL COLLECTOR. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS JUST MY EXPERIENCE BUT I DECIDED TO LOOK INTO HER REVIEWS ANS STUMBLED ACROSS THIS. EVERYONE HAS THE SAME ISSUES WITH HER. HER PRACTICE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND I AM NOW LOOKING FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR.

AFTER WAITING FOR 3 HOURS TO BE SEEN SHE RUSHES THROUGH THE APPOINTMENT WITH A SCRIPTED SPEECH THAT REVOLVES ONLY AROUND DIETING. IN THE PAST I HAVE REFUSED FLU SHOTS SIMPLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO DO MY OWN RESEARCH AND SHE SCOLDED ME AND TALKED DOWN TO ME AS IF I WERE A CHILD. THERE ARE NEVER ANY SEAT COVERS OR PAPER TOWELS IN THE BATHROOM. WHOEVER MAKES THE PHONE CALLS FOR REMINDERS OF DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS WILL BLOW UP YOUR PHONE LIKE A BILL COLLECTOR. IM ASSUMING BECAUSE THE NEED THE MONEY. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS JUST ME, BUT I DECIDED TO DO MY OWN RESERCH AND SAW THAT MANY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. I'M LOOKING FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR ASAP. HER PRACTICE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Dr. Sheikh is both professional and personable. She has taken care of both my sons. I am a fan of hers.

the receptionists are nice but dr sheikh is not what you expect a pediatrician to be at all, she is rude and seems to not care at all about her job. I honestly do not recommend this place to nobody. I was there a Thursday morning at 8:30 because they claim to open at nine but I get there to the cleaning lady telling me they don't open till 9:30 so I had to wait an hour with my sick child in my car which was fine but once the receptionist arrives she tells me dr sheikh doesn't get to the office till 10:30 are you kidding me?! Two hours gone to waste ... Once I was put in the room she got there at 10:45 only to come into the room and take a call and once again exit the room, she came back and said sorry it was something personal -_- she preceded to check my daughter and said all she needs is to drink more water!!! Wow!!! That's ittt!! Three hours for that!! Is this really where you wanna take your sick kids? I don't think so , plus they take forever even if you have an appointment or not.
