I've seen Dr. Dehesa in the past. He is an excellent Dr. He really cares about his patients. He takes time answering questions. He is very thorough.
Their referral team or fax machine doesn't work. I've been sending a new referral from a new dr for the past 3 months. I've literally given up trying to be seen here. Just thought I'd leave this here in case anyone else has been having that problem. Just ask your primary to send you somewhere else. It's not worth the wait and your well being.
Dr. Simpson is fantastic. Amazing bedside manner, thorough and professional. I have had horror stories with previous dermatologists and feel very confident that my skin is in good hands as his patient. With melanoma in my family history my moles and overall skin health are concerns, and he always answers questions, is very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The front desk staff is also professional and friendly, with quick wait times I was in and out in a hour, including the time it took me to fill out all the paperwork. If you're looking for a derm I couldn't recommend him more!
I live 45 miles away from University Dermatology and gladly make the trip to see Dr. Dehesa for my bi annual skin checkup. He is very thorough with his examination and answers all of my questions regarding skin care. My appointments are always on time and the staff is professional and polite.
I went in to get check up for my swallow check bone but instead I haven't been help on why it's swallow. I'm not getting the help I need. I needed to figure out if I have lupus and all they care about is treating my pimple on my chin and mouth. My first visit was with DR.Hansen, she didn't really help much. Her assistance and they both gave me expired medication for sample which I was shock when I came home. Idk why this dermatology would give expired medication. I found it weird. Also I'm allergic To minocycline. Which idk what made her think it was okay to give it to me as a sample . My 2nd visit was with Dr. Dehesa, he didn't help all at either with my swollen cheekbone. Idk why these doctors are so focus on my pimple on my chin and mouth when the problem was because I was referred to see if I have lupus and figure out why my cheek are still swollen and it has rashes too. DR. Dehesa prescribe me minocycline, I've been taking the medicine for 13 days and developed an allergic reaction to it after I went to the clinic and found out that minocycline and doxycycline are the same generic medication , just different name. I was pissed out and mad. On paper work I did write down that I have an allergic reaction to doxycycline & as a doctor idk why they would prescribe or give me miniocycline as a sample to take. I went to the clinic and my primary care doctor find it weird as well. These doctor and assistant over there aren't responsible because they don't look at your medical history or take it serious when I wrote down on my paper work that I'm allergic the medication. Make sure you guys take picture of paper work before submitting it in if you guys ever do plan to sue these dermatology. I had to go into the pharmacy and had them put down the medication I'm allergic to . I call the dermatology about my allergic reaction and they said that they will notify my pharmacy, but no I don't need them to do that cause I already notify my pharmacy. Becareful and ask question when you guys go in for a visit. I suffer some my chest pain and it wasn't fun cause I couldn't breath. If you have to be rude, go ahead and be rude because I will be rude regardless after my second visit. I have to be cautious that's why imma be rude on my third visit and ask them lots of question. The people there are nice but I feel so screw over by these dermatology and these nurse assistance for not taking my medical history seriously and causing me to suffer. Imma have to sue regardless.
I went to Dr. Simpson for some spots of skin cancer. He found some and referred me to Dr. Story to have them surgically removed. I have to say the they both have an awesome bedside manner, a fantastic staff and made an otherwise rough time the absolute best possible!! Thank you all for your great service in caring for me today!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
