Wait time was horrible, had to wait 3 1/2 hours just to get in the room and then after had to wait another 20 minutes for the doctor to go in and perform her tests

We had a great experience here with my baby daughter. While it was initially difficult to get in touch with the front desk, we just kept calling and got through pretty soon. They warned us on the phone about long wait times, but had excellent communication and were very polite. Once we showed up everyone was super kind and Dr. Schmidt gave us wonderful care! While I understand the frustration with long waits, it's not her fault that there aren't more specialists in the area. Long wait times or not, the medical care itself is excellent and we were treated so well by all the staff!

Ok I agree with some of these reviews about the wait time but before our appointment we got a letter in the mail stating it. When we arrived the waiting room was full and it is shared with a separate office. For being "Valley Childrens" it's not as nice as one would expect. The front desk was polite and repeatedly told multiple people about the "standard 2-3 hour wait time." She did get up and leave a couple of times but probably on a break or doing something else. (People are entitled to that). It took about an hour to an hour and a half to be brought back by the assistant. She was knowledgeable and professional, but appeared to be the only one. (Which could explain the wait time itself)? The doctor was nice and thorough and answered all my questions. Overall the people are not bad, but you can tell that they need a little help (everyone does). I'm giving 4 stars because the expierence could be better if they had more staff and more than one doctor to see all these kiddos.

The reviews are true. We waited 7 months for my daughter to get an appointment. Then another 3 hours in the waiting room. We had a 30 day follow up appointment, but they rescheduled that for another month out for a total of 8 months waiting!! The lady at the desk is rude & disappears frequently. The lady that takes you back is not the friendliest either. The Dr was very nice, but WHY am I waiting 3+ hours?! Clearly the scheduling is way off!! My daughter is older, but still! Poor babies & toddlers are waiting way too long & it's absolutely ridiculous!! Trying to keep them entertained for that long in the old, dirty waiting room is insanity & rude!! Clearly they could care less about my time. If I was 3 hours late they wouldn't even see me, but they expect us to wait patiently like it's only been 5 minutes. 🙄

Worst place ever! I wish I could give zero stars. Front desk is beyond rude! If your not a people person then simple don’t work here. We are stressed out parents bringing our little ones in for a reason. Was given the wrong address, they changed my time with very little notice just because the doctor wanted to leave early. I can’t afford to change her appointment since it took 3 months for baby to be seen. No respect for our time. On top of that I called because I was on my way when I realized I was given the wrong address front desk wanted to put me on hold. I told her my daughter had an appointment right now in 10 minutes and needed the address, she did not care and put me on hold. Nice job front desk! Not! Do not go here at all cost if possible.

Avoid this place. We booked an appointment 6 months ago, and when we arrived we were told it was a four hour wait. They closed in 2.5 hours, so I’m not sure how we would even be seen. We drove 2 hours for nothing. The staff knew in the morning that they were backed up, as we were informed when we got there that the doctor had an emergency that morning that caused the long wait. A call would have saved us $100 in gas.

For being part of valley childrens hospital its dirty and low staffed. Hardly anyone is available by phone the only way to talk to someone is to select to make an appointment. The wait was extremely long. They did warn about the wait time buts its due to poor booking and staffing. Gave them three stars because the actual doctor was very thorough and professional.

This office is the worst I've been too they reschedule appointments and forget to mark it down themselves two times now ive come here where they forgot i even had an appointment set

The doctor is great but the staff in the front are horrible. I have had multiple appointments where they either canceled without telling me or moved my appointment up without telling me and when I get there they say “oh well you missed your appointment”. These appointments are hard to get and are scheduled out months in advance yet they still can’t call saying oh this date and time won’t work anymore. The doctor is over booked and you are lucky if your not sitting in the small lobby for 3-4 hours.

Horrible place. The whole experience was terrible, my son was referred to a specialists. It took 5 months for an appointment, I was never told it was at a valley children’s clinic and not the hospital. We are not from Fresno so I assumed it was at the hospital. We left town at 6:30 to be at an appointment at 8:30, arrived at 8:40 because of the hospital confusion. Checked in and wasn’t called for 2 hours and I went up and was told they canceled the appointment and waiting another hour for their ignorance and told it would be another 2 hour wait. And they recommended I stay because it’s hard to get an appointment. My baby was exhausted and grumpy and they still needed to Dilate his eyes. I also had my other 3 children, including another baby waiting this entire time. Selfish and inconsiderate individuals work here. Ridiculous that this is a valley children’s facility
