He is a good doctor, though typically he isn’t slotted much time so focused on one thing. The office however is a different story. It’s next to impossible to get through on the phone. Leaving a message means they might call back the next day. They want you to do the work for them. They refuse to contact my new insurance for verification and told me I had to drive over to show my new card before they’d give me an appointment. Using the apps for Sante was no help either. I am more than frustrated
He let me go as his patient, without warning, didn’t see it coming! Got a hateful phone call from his assistant or front desk saying if I didn’t go in and sign something, that I already agreed to sign that following day, he’d drop me as a patient. I went in and signed on the day I agreed to, went to make my three month appointment today and they told me he dropped me. I have really serious health issues and he just doesn’t care. I’m 50 years old, type 1 diabetic, he didn’t want to see me for serious issues, if he did he was rude and hateful. He always answered questions with in a hateful or condescending manner, so I started taking my husband, he was still the same way but didn’t go at me as hard as he did when I didn’t take my husband. Neither my husband or our nephew will go back and friends if our that go to him have told us how rude he is. This man offers zero compassion, has a terrible bedside manner and fights you on filling prescriptions, if you fight back, you’re gone.
You come in, you explain why you’re there, he asks like two follow up questions and then he just asks YOU what treatment would be right for you. Seriously? I’m here for your professional medical opinion, I’m here for a diagnosis and treatment. Why are you asking me what I think I should do? That’s why I’m here… I don’t know! That’s the exchange we’re here to conduct. Appointments are rushed. God forbid you have two conditions to address, he will literally write a test script for the first thing on his way out of the patient room and ignore the second thing you came in about. If you do manage to assert that the visit isn’t over he acts kind of shocked that you’re taking more of his time than he planned on. He’s checked out. Just there to collect your copay.
Highly recommend for friends and family
This man was my Dr. for 12 years and when I went I became disabled and lost my he's insurance he continued to see me to make sure I was doing okay until I got insurance again. The staff there especially the office manager Cheryl, are truly caring people and that made a very difficult transition in life easier to swallow knowing you have the support of people like Dr. Yamamoto and staff. They could have turned me out once I told them I lost my insurance but they continued to see me for almost a year at a reduced rate we he couldn't start any new treatments but he wanted to see me none the less to make sure I was okay, that's caring !
Friendly staff they get your in and out and the Dr is great

The Best thing about Dr. Yamamoto is the minimal wait time. However, he can be a little snappy with his responses. Also, I really don’t think he cares much about your health. He only wants to address one issue and have you come back again to address the next issue. This way he can use another diagnoses code which results in more money for him and the practice! Please retire, because if you had what it took to be a doctor, it’s now gone!!! The staff is decent that’s why I gave 2 stars.

I recently turned 65 so I looked on Medicare's website for doctors in my area that took Medicare. Dr Yamamoto's was listed on Medicare's website so I called his office to schedule an appt with him. It was 8 minutes before I was able to speak to someone. I asked the woman that answered if Dr Y was taking new Medicare patients. She replied no we don't take free government insurance. I replied I have Medicare NOT Medical and it is NOT free. I pay a monthly premium for the coverage along with a secondary insurance which your office takes according to his website. She said hang on and let me ask & put me on hold for another 7 minutes. When she finally came back on the line she said yeah we don't take your insurance and I never called it free. I said I beg your pardon but you did call Medicare free ins before you put me on hold and it's not free. She said ummmmm no I didn't say that and then hung up on me. I don't know Dr Y because I've never met him but would never go because of rude staff!
