Support staff is wonderful. Dr. Karich may be a great Orthopefist, but we felt he lacked empathy. Injuries are personal and can be concerning and life changing. We always go to St. Jude because of the great care from the doctors. This doctor had a poor bedside manner, seemed rushed, did not spend much time with us, did not take time to explain things, did not give reviews of X-rays, did not leave opportunity for questions. Bad experience. We went to another Orthopedist through a different provider…..much better experience and answers.

I am in my mid-60s, was quite athletic younger and had injured my left shoulder before. Two years ago, doing "the plank," I noticed a few days later sharp joint pain. This spread down the upper arm. I saw a different orthopedist who seemed to miss the cause. I then had 6 weeks of physical therapy with only 50% improvement. I tried acupuncture which did not help. Then I had laser for about 6 weeks ...

Dr. Karich is one of if not the finest of St. Jude doctors I have gone to. He is very profession, polite and personable in my experience with him. As a result of him looking closer at a test that was done prior to seeing him and then having him order another one to confirm he helped prevent me from having a surgery. In my experience with this doctor he took his time, he was caring and reassuring about my circumstances and took the time to explain and answer all my questions I had. He is excellent in his followup and course of medical actions needed to get the best outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Karich to family, friends and anyone who is having shoulder and arm problems due to injuries. The best of the best in my opinion.

He did a fantastic repair of my left rotator cup and is very easy to talk to.

I was a D1 collegiate athlete that in my older age have been relegated to a weekend warrior! LOL I tore my achilles tendon playing volleyball and he put me right back together again. He's a wonderful human being, very good surgeon and cares about his patients!

Playing tennis over 40 years has taken its toll. My right shoulder was painful and I had lost range of motion. It came to the point, I stopped playing tennis. I decided to have Dr Karich diagnose my problem. Based on MRI report, he told me my supraspinatus tendon was torn and needed surgery to fix it. After lots of soul searching, I decided to go with the procedure. 5 months after the surgery, my shoulder is almost back to normal and pain is completely gone. I am back on court playing again. Dr Karich and his staff were professional and very helpful throughout the event (pre and post surgery). I am so thankful and full of gratitude to him and his staff for giving me back something I thought I lost forever and such a pleasant experience.

Excellent surgeon who answered all my questions. His PA is also great.
