2 years ago I suffered a fall fracturing my cervical spine at the C2 level. Fortunately, Dr Jiang was on ER call. He evaluated my injury and scheduled surgery ASAP. I am so blessed that he was my surgeon. I felt rhat I was in the care of a very capable surgeon. He was very professional and personable. He kept me well informed of my progress. This is a Review that will make you want to use Dr Bowen Jiang Neurosurgeon I had been suffering from chronic sciatica lower legs for 25 years until one day in August of this last year my legs went completely numb. My Primary Doctor sent in for emergency MRI showed I have severe spinal stenosis lower lumbar region. The next day I received a call from Dr Bowen Jiang. Dr Jiang said I need to see him immediately, today and now. I went to his office at Fullerton St Jude Heritage Providence Metical Group the next day. I was introduced to Shirin Heydari Dr Jiang’s PA-C. She is an amazing person who made me feel like everything is going to be ok. We both then discovered how serious my physical stability was when Dr Jiang preceded to go through my MRI to detailed explanations of my condition. I was in shock and into tears to see how bad my spine was being constricted by my L2-L5 vertebrae’s which are bone on bone. He explained expressly “Mr Anderson you are a miracle that you are not paralyzed now from the waist down”. Dr Jiang gave me only one option to not be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I took that option and went with Dr Jiang and his surgical team to completely rebuild my lower back outer Lumbar S1 to L2 fusion and inner body fusion L4 to S1 I cannot thank Dr Jiang and his surgeon team enough for how I am doing 4 weeks after surgery as I write this review. I am still months from recovering but am off all my medication which I highly recommend to anyone to start life again. I want to thank Shirin Heydari who I believe to be an Angel from heaven. She helped me understand pre operative stress and preparation for life changing surgery. She helped me and my wife understand how post surgery and lifestyle will be. Dr Jiang and Shirin Heydari have been together a blessing for me and my family to have had the best possible outcome for my future. From the very beginning, Dr. Jiang was very open and informative regarding the nerve damage in my lower back. He offered extensive knowledge and support for various treatments, until we ultimately opted for surgery. After the surgery, Dr. Jiang and his PA Shirin were very attentive to my needs and demonstrated a genuine care for me as a patient. My wife and I are incredibly grateful for their work!

I was not happy with Dr Jiang's service. My story is not good I recommend you get a second opinion before you agree to surgery with him, you will be very happy you did.

I recently (6mo ago) posted a review for Dr. Jiang. The review gave him 4 stars. It should have been a 5 +Star review . I am soo sorry for hitting the wrong response.

The Office Customer Service is very impatient and not professional at all. I was referred by other doctor to Bowen Jiang for my neck pain. I called office and tried to make appt. The lady who answered asked me if I have MRI, I said I did not. I was trying to ask more info about MRI or any other things I need to get before making appt. She already hanged up the phone. So rude.....

I’ve been diagnosed with Radiculopathy and Sciatica for 8 years. I hurt my back while exercising in the gym when I was 17. I’ve met with multiple doctors, surgeons, chiropractors, and Physical therapists over the years. I’ve had many different opinions about what I should and shouldn’t do. Many of the surgeons I’ve met with, have told me to avoid surgery. In total, I’ve had 5 epidural injections in my lower back, with none of them showing any improvement. After being referred to Dr. Jiang by my pain management doctor, Dr. Jiang saw me, read my medical reports that I had over the years and saw my MRI, and immediately told me that I need surgery asap. I was very hesitant at first. I was afraid. However, surgery was the only option I haven’t tried. A month later, I scheduled my surgery a month later. After the surgery, Dr. Jiang explained to me just how bad my situation was. My disc bulges have calcified and became like a bone pinching against my spinal cord. God knows what my situation would have been if I haven’t done the surgery, and postponed it another year. Now, about 6 months later, even though I’m still recovering, I am so thankful that I have done the surgery. Dr. Jiang if very professional and one of the best in his field. I started feeling significant improvement about a month after the surgery. I keeps improving everyday. Now, I can walk, jog, sit, sleep comfortably. I even went back to playing some sports. Those are things that were almost impossible for me to do. Surgery might not be the solution for everyone. But if you tried almost everything possible and you’re still not getting better, then surgery might be your only solution.

I came to Dr. Jiang and his practice after dealing with chronic low back pain for the last 10 years following a traumatic fall. I am young, only 28, so most physicians I saw turned their nose at me and said they wouldn't touch me for a surgical fix, especially a revision surgery as I had surgery when I was 20. When I came to Dr. Jiang, I was blown away at his bedside manner. He walked into my first appointment knowing everything about me without referring to my chart. We agreed at trying a more conservative approach at first, and when that wasn't as effective we decided to move forward with surgery. Dr. Jiang made sure to explain all of my risks and that if at any point during the surgery he thought that what he was doing could hurt me, he would stop and not proceed. He is truly amazing. I had a revision lumbar surgery with laminectomy, discectomy and instrumented fusion and I am blown away at how much better I am feeling only 3 week post op. And let me tell you how amazing his PA, Shirin is! She cares so much for her patients and really takes the time to sit down and go over any and all concerns. Their office staff is wonderful and very responsive to requests. I couldn't recommend a better practice for all of your spinal needs!

I honestly can't say enough about Dr. Jiang and his expertise! My husband presented to the ER with a severe headache and diagnosed with a grapefruit-size meningioma (benign brain tumor). Dr. Jiang and his colleagues had a plan in place and performed a very difficult surgery within 24 hours. Dr. Jiang was able to completely remove the tumor and my husband has no neurological deficits. He kept in close contact with myself and the rest of our family during this difficult time. His physician's assistant, Shirin, was very kind and knowledgeable, as well. His office staff and medical assistant were a breath of fresh air and welcoming. Dr. Jiang and his staff renewed our faith in the medical field. They are the best of the best!
