We feel cared for and listened to every time we see Dr. Davenport.

Every time I see Davenport, I feel very rushed. When I tell him about legitimate concerns he tells me not to worry about it and doesn’t even check to see if there’s an issue.

Stay away from this negligent doctor and his incompetent staff at all costs. Your health deserves better.

Dr. Davenport was totally off about my son. Starting at 18 months we brought up concerns regarding his lack of talking. He brushed it off and just kept telling us “boys talk later” “kids nowadays don’t really start talking until 2 or 3.” I can’t even count the number of times we brought up this concern along with other concerns just to be told we’re worrying too much. That if he though it was a concern, he would say something. Not one time did he offer a referral to a specialist or acknowledge our concerns. Finally I pushed for a referral. Took some convincing but I got one and low and behold, our son was diagnosed with a moderate/severe speech delay. To top it all off, a month after that he was diagnosed with Autism. These are pretty HUGE things for a doctor “miss.” Especially when we brought up concerns over and over and over. We lost total faith in doctors because of him. We could have gotten help sooner if only he listened and provided a referral. So disappointing.

Dr. Davenport is a very friendly, personable psychiatrist with a great bedside manner. He is very easy to talk to. Not all psychiatrists are that way. The thing I like about him most though is that he listens to what I have to say and he is open to alternative treatments, as long as they are medically sound. After all, you cannot expect any doctor to agree to a treatment plan that he or she feels would either cause harm to the patient or that would fail to treat the problem. He offers logical options and allows me to choose the course of action that I feel is most reasonable. I have always felt that all medicine should be a collaborative effort between the doctor and the patient. This describes Dr. Davenport perfectly. The bottom line is that Dr. Davenport is a good man and a very qualified and competent psychiatrist. He has my full support and recommendation.

I was a new patient coming in with a newly diagnosed medical condition from another medical provider and Dr Davenport was professional, courteous and responded very promptly to my medical needs. He immediately put in all the referrals needed and got me on my way to be treated by specialists. I highly recommend Dr Davenport!

Excellent doctor. Good listener and his care plan was thorough and hit all the core problems/symptoms I was experiencing. Easy to have a conversation with and he asked sensible questions. Intuitive.
