She is knowledgeable doctor however her office management is pretty bad Waiting in office after checking is usually more than 2 to 3 hours On first occasion it was 2 hours and on second time it was 3 hours If you have plenty of time to sit in doctor office

Came to her out of referral from ER. Was able to arrange appointment in Whittier office. Reasonable wait time in office. Her technician did very thorough assessment of both eyes taking many images. Her diagnosis of my vision problems was covered in detail with possible treatment options. Good bedside manner.

Amazing would have to sum it up. My mother has been going for about 5 months and the improvements are amazing. My mother has wet macular degeneration. And from our first appointment, we were amazed by Dr Ramkumar. She explained everything that was going on with my mom’s eyes, and how she was going to treat her. We have seen nothing but improvements for 5 months. My mother is once again sewing and crocheting. She thought she would never again be able to do those things. So I would recommend Dr Ramkumar to anyone who wants to see the best Retina Dr there is.

Went above and beyond providing a excellent exam and did so on a Sunday afternoon! I really lucked out getting a referral to Dr. Ramkumar! She and her staff were very accommodating considering once again that they saw me on an emergency basis on a Sunday afternoon! Just think the level of care you will receive on a work day!

As far as I'm concerned a simple assessment of Dr. Ramkumar is that once you've found her you've found the best. I highly recommend this doctor. She knows eyes and I feel so blessed to have been able to have her treat me. I truly thank Dr Ramkumar for treating me on a Saturday for a detached retina on her personal time. I would give her six stars if it were available.

I have macular degeneration that requires a shot directly into my eye. Dr, Hema Ramkumar is the doctor who gives me the shot. It is unpleasant, and can be painful, but she is patient and considerate. She waits until the numbing agent takes full effect, and checks the area to assure I have no pain before she proceeds. Then it is over quickly and I am grateful to have her guiding me through this difficult, but necessary treatment...and, she has an appropriate sense of humor.
