Dr. Bussel is fantastic. I have had cataract surgery on both eyes by Dr. Bussel and he is marvelous. I am so happy with the results as well as his manner and his approach to a patient. Very honest and forthright. The office personnel is great also when helping a patient; always explain what they are going to do.

Dr. Bussel performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. He thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all my questions. He truly cares about the well being of his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Bussel.

I can't say enough about Dr. Bussel. He is an excellent specialist who knows his field and has performed several very successful glaucoma surgeries on me . He is that unusual doctor who spends time with his patients and remembers their past history. He truly cares about his patients.

I was referred to UCI to a glaucoma specialist as an emergency patient, after having cataract surgery and a glaucoma procedure done by a local ophthalmologist. My pressure went from zero to 45 in a matter of days. Dr Bussel has solved the problem I was having and has gotten my pressure where it should be. He really takes the time to explain what is occurring and what the next steps could be in the future. He is kind and mindful of prescription costs as well. He has had great recommendations for me and I’m so grateful to have him as my doctor. It was a no brainer to follow him to his Fullerton office.

Dr. Bussel came to St Jude from UCI. I believe that UCI doctors truly are amazing and on top of the game. They know all the latest treatments since they do research and it’s a teaching hospital. Dr. Bussel is one the most competent, caring, accommodating, sensitive, and determined person. He has provided thorough information. He has provided us his cell phone number to reach during urgent situations. He even gave us his friend’s (ophthalmologist) number while we were on vacation in New York to contact. He did not mind staying late to check my son’s eyes when my son’s eye pressure was not under control. He has taken necessary steps to avoid the most invasive procedures. His conservative decisions on my son’s treatments has matched our preferences. And most importantly he was so reassuring and has made us feel at ease during one of the most scary life changing experiences for our family. We are grateful to have such an amazing doctor on our side. I definitely recommend him to others.

This is my the most caring and professional Doctor That I have met. All my life I have been in need of very thick glasses or having to ware hard contact lenses daily. One day I stated having a vision issue in my right eye were I was having trouble seeing. Doctor Bussel operated on my right eye and replaced the lens to correct my vision. After healing I need a very small prescription for glasses. That I use only for driving. He has chagged my life for better.
