Had both hip replaced and now I walk 3-4 miles every day. Pain free and happy.
Dr Shanfields one of the best doctors I've ever had! I've never had anyone who sits with you you til you understand completely even when you/I got upset with things going in numerous times & feeling frustrated. So understanding! He tops bedside manner!
Dr Shanfield is the most professional and kind doctors I've seen. Thank you!
Dr Shanfield is awesome! I just went through arthroscopic knee surgery and I'm two weeks post op. I have full range of motion, haven't needed any pain medicine and already can go up and down stairs again. His communication with me about my injury and his over all concern for my well being was A+. He did my wife's knee years ago and her experience was just as positive. He's the only call I'm making if I have problems with my other knee.
Did my knee 23 years ago and still going strong ????
Doctor Shanfield is amazing doctor. He took my son on as a patient after he suffered a traumatic hip dislocation during high school football practice. The result of the injury was sciatic nerve damage and avascular necrosis. His compassionate way and expertise was amazing. I could not have made it through without him and we will be forever grateful.
Great Doctor. Did a hip revision. Patient and easy to talk to.
Unprofessional!! I’ll let you decide! But I’ll be submitting a 1 star to every rating site I find. About 2 years ago I went to Dr Shangfield. I stretched my ligament but he would not do surgery for a year. Fair! After a year I went back and ankle was not better. We scheduled surgery that I had to cancel. Surgery #2 had to cancel! I do not cancel appts. Just because! I had a flood in home #1 and my grandson was born 2 months premature and in NICU. I was in another state taking care of my other 2 grandchildren! Surgery #3 TODAY 1/8/20 unfortunately due to accident in front of me yesterday I was 15 min late to pre-op!! Coordinator(Barbara) came to WR and said due to my canceled surgeries and a missed appt 12/31 which I did not schedule (Barbara sent appt. in mail) and I’m always in AZ until the New Year! Hence the day before surgery appt. so less then 24 hours before my surgery on a stretched ligament I was canceled due to me giving plenty of notice and rescheduling my appts? The lack of professionalism this doctor allowed his coordinator (Barbara) and the oh so friendly NP (Gina) get away with. I did not ever set out to have a flood in home or a premature grandson and I would never be so blatantly disrespectful of any doctors time! my time is just as valuable and important to me!! I gave weeks and weeks of notice before rescheduling both appts. NOT LESS THEN 24 hours!! The time and money waisted on my end, insurance, hospital, primary doctor, blood testing!! So THANK YOU Dr Shangfield for being so unprofessional to cancel a surgery less then 24 hours before time and date!!! I will continue to file complaints with my insurance company, the medical board and a lawyer.
Excellent doctor! Absolutely no pain after surgery (no meds needed!) and the outcome was perfect! Highly recommend this doctor and his team. Gina, his NP, is also excellent (so very supportive and kind). He fixed what another doctor did incorrectly. Dr. Shanfield and Gina are God sent!!!
I’ll make it loud and clear to every place I can..doctors, insurance, medical board, hospital that Dr Shanfield canceled my surgery hours before do to be late to a pre-op appt. in which you do nothing life saving!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
