Pec Healthcare & Hospice's Online Review Report Card

PEC Hospice provided hospice services to my father at home in Irvine, CA. I was there with my father for a couple of weeks to witness and evaluate PEC directly.Kim Anastasia was the lead Registered Nurse. She was highly professional and impressive. She was an excellent communicator, and an outstanding liaison between the family and the doctors, the pharmacy and other providers. She offered very valuable advice to the family while we were under stress. And most importantly, she made sure my father received the care, attention, respect and dignity he needed to ease his last few weeks. Other PEC providers, nursing assistant Tammy, Hygienist Danny, and Jenn in the office, were also compassionate and caring problem solvers. Their teamwork also made things happen, and services delivered, without a lot of interventions or reminders needed from our side.The emotional toll of seeing a loved one suffer from a terminal illness is all-consuming. Not everyone we dealt with during that time was helpful. But, forever grateful to Kim, Tammy, Danny, and Jenn, who were sympathetic and made the extra effort to comfort my father, and the family, too.

I am writing this review to commend this excellent company and staff for the care they provided for my stepmother during the final months of her life. Kim, Dr. Kohli, Dan, Nick and Melissa were all terrific. I'm sure others played a role and I thank them as well, but these are the ones with whom I had the most contact.First, Kim, our Case Manager, is an outstanding person and the company is fortunate to have her. She is understanding, straightforward in her communication, and always accessible. I always knew that when I contacted Kim, it wouldn't be long before I heard back. She was always on top of the situation with my stepmom's care and I found that she and I were typically in sync when it came to decisions that needed to be made. Kim was a real comfort to me when my stepmom began to noticeably decline and I will always be grateful that she was our Case Manager. Her kindness and gentleness with my stepmother was so very much appreciated.I also want to commend Dr. Kohli. He also was available and understanding, and I found that I had a great deal of confidence and trust in him and his decisions. Although our interface with him was not frequent, I know he is responsive and puts the comfort of his patients at the top of his priorities. I am grateful that my stepmom had him as an advocate.'Dan the Man' always made her smile and I know that they had lovely conversations about their faith which was very important to her. I appreciate his careful care and loving way. Nick also was a blessing. Even though she didn't care for bed baths, it was the best option for her and I know that Nick was kind and made her feel as comfortable as possible in the circumstances.Melissa was so sweet to call me regularly and offer to be of any assistance possible. I know that she was faithful to visit Mary Kay and I thought it was amazing that she was so consistent as a volunteer. Most of the time, I didn't need to call her back but I appreciated her voicemails so much.I always believe that the culture of a company starts at the top and is formed through the types of people that are hired, as well as the expectations that the company puts forward for how their team will interact with each other and with the customer. The CEO of this company has obviously done a spectacular job and has a company and people to be proud of.

I'm not sure where to start..I've been working with PEC as a patient and I am so impressed with them. They gave me such personalized care I'd swear I was their only customer. EVERYONE was friendly and honestly wanted to know how you felt. The drivers were courteous, prompt and efficient. Mikki the nusrse..where do I start? She is amazing I'd want her on my team any day. I looked forward to her visits and will be sad that I won't see her every week now that I am doing better...it's a bittersweet scenario. I'm sure there are other organizations out there but I can' believe they are better because these guys are amazing!

I came here as an intern volunteer from CSUF. Everyone I worked with was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were understanding and adaptive to my schedule. I would recommend anyone that is wanting to make a difference by volunteering to come here. You will feel rewarded with the work you do, and the people here will treat you like family.

Hospice is important, for those who need it. Their staff is professional, kind and loving. They really care about what they do, to provide the service you expect.

Nurse Mikki was excellent. Mikki called me and set up a time that was good for me. She didn't try to make me fit her schedule. She showed up on time and was a true professional. She was extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of what she was doing. What I really appreciated was how patient she was with me, while teaching me what I needed to know. She even gave me her phone number in case I needed help with anything. I even had to use it only about an hour after she left and she answered right away helped me with something I had forgotten and was confused about. I would and will refer this company to anyone looking for quality home healthcare. If you ask for Mikki you will be in good hands.
