List of Memorial Hospital Of Gardena's Reviews
My fiancé came into the ER last night, and the nursing staff got him to the back and admitted in great timing. Nurse Melissa ( works in ICU ), who was performing several jobs on this day was amazing to my fiancé, and did her job phenomenally. Thanks GMH!
Pedro in bungalow D from the HR department is rude and sarcastic. He provides bad customer service.
By the way, I reached out to miss Pat Lopez. Left both an email and a voicemail and I have yet to get a response. These people are SICK!I went to their website and on their webpage and on their "FOR COMPLAINT OR SUBPOENA SERVICE:" states that..."Registered Law Enforcement Officials Only (special, local, or state police, state and federal agencies) with confirmed proper identification may request an expedited approval. Please show your identification and have the facility contact Robert Carpino, Avanti Hospitals Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, on your behalf." Dose not surprise me at all how unreliable this hospital runs it's business. Seems like they will throw you in a loop for anything and they are using COVID as an excuse to get away with it. WE HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TO CALL THE POLICE IF YOU FEEL IN DANGER AT THESE HOSPITALS.
The nurses and everyone else I've spoke with are very helpful and friendly, except the doctor. I work at a hospital myself and have never heard a doctor yell at someone over the phone repeatedly. All I'm trying to do is figure out how a relative is doing and he goes all crazy on the phone? I think the horse he's on is too high for him
I entered St Johns Hospital ER in Santa Monica CA for the palms of my hands. Taken in they did a Covid Test and said I was positive and the room cleared out leaving me alone until half hour later when two guys and gurney came in. Strapped me down and were outside loaded into an ambulance and taken to this hospital.. Nobody would tell me what was going on or the urgentcy of their actions. I felt okay not sick or problems breathing.. I was two to three days with people in and out and nobody talking to me. I hear a girl asking for my personal property and I said my property was in my jacket in the bag safe if nobody touches it. She pulls out my wallet and asked how much cash was there and I gave exact count of each bill for $300 face value. (2 $20 were collectors valued over $600 on eBay). I told her to leave my property alone in my jacket in the plastic bag way back in the corner on the desk. After 4 days I refused any more treatment they were doing nothing I wasn't in any pain and felt good staring down security in hallway when someone asked me if I was leaving and asked me to give him a few minutes to get my discharge papers and security to unlock the elevator for us. After outside I went next door to 7/11 to find over $240 missing out of my wallet including the collectors bills.
There is a huge lack of liability here, huge DELAY IN TREATMENT. HUGE VIOLATIONS of their hospital BILL OF RIGHTS. I spoke to Dr. Tomhani last Tuesday and he suggested that I can make suggestions on medication for my mother fighting COVID-19. And now its Saturday and she is dead. I’ve been calling everyday since then to follow up with medications that can potentially save her life but the Nurses who I spoke to failed to connect me to Dr. Tomhani. And everyone there seemed pretty casual and hardly responsive about the situation. “She’s not getting better, but she’s not getting worse” is what I kept hearing dismissively when I asked for information. Once she was incubated was like a death sentence. Don’t let these people discourage you from seeking the medical help you know you deserve. And to Miss Pat Lopez, it’s not a good look for the hospital to send a “copy paste” response to every bad review. Come on girl, TRY HARDER.

My husband is dead because of uncaring, unprofessional staff. Only given a bed in ICU AFTER he was found unresponsive. The doctor determined that he wasn't sick enough to be in ICU. He was put in a regular room and taken off his regular medication. Went in on the 21st of January, dead on the 25th of January. I tried to have him transferred, the doctor said that he was too sick to be moved.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR CARE !!!! they treat patients very badly and they aren't clean at all there wass blood on the sheets and urine that was sitting out for hours in corners of the room. They ignore dying patients I had to pick up my wife from here because they wouldn't help her they just laughed at her when she was post partum hemmoraging and when her brain condition was severe there are terrible people who work here please if at all possible do not go to Gardena memorial hospital for care they are terrible and do not care for others
Worst hospital needs to be shut down!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
