Amalia Armenta's Online Review Report Card

Updated to three stars only because the receptionist was so kind. She sent me my referral right when I asked and did not tell me that they do not do that. This was the worst meeting with a doctor i have ever had. She was in my room for 6 and a half minutes and spent 2 of those minutes bashing the church I had left. Then when it came time for me to talk about why I was there- for a physical and to get a referral for my eczema- she said that she doesn't do physicals on the first appointment. When I said that was why I had scheduled the appointment and had confirmed they would be able to do one, she replied that she knows but I would have to make another appointment to come back the next month. this was so she could see why if I "actually needed a physical and what problems I had to be treated". She also gave my a prescription that read "go see a dermatologist for severe eczema" and when i said it needed to be a referral and not a physical prescription, she said she doesn't do referrals like that and a prescription was fine.

Zero stars would be appropriate , but that is not an option. Armenta ruined my husband's quality of life after he sustained a serious back injury. He went to her for a referral to a spine specialist and she told him that 3 or four weeks of back pain was insignificant, come back in a month or 2 for a referral to a specialist. Turns out he had a spinal injury that could have been corrected if he had surgery within 6 weeks. He died with a resultant severe spinal deformity and constant pain and depression.Also, she was my doctor as well, and she once inappropriately commented how hot he was for his age.I got stuck with Armenta as my primary after my fabulous primary Dr. Bonnie Moura retired, who suspected I had a hidden heart problem. Armenta was my doctor for quite some time when my cardiology team (assembled due to Moura) finally discovered I had aortic stenosis due to a birth defect and needed surgery. In all that time before the necessary surgery, Armenta NEVER laid a stethoscope to my chest to listen to my heart our lungs. IT WAS CLEAR SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO READ MY CHART OR SHE WOULD HAVE KNOWN I WAS CLOSE TO DIEING AND NEEDED SURGERY!!!!! When I went to her a few days before surgery to get approval for pre-op labs, she looked at me like a dolt and said "Don't have what you don't need Catherine." IT WAS SO EFFING CLEAR SHE NEVER ONCE READ MY CHART, MEDICAL HISTORY OR REPORTS FROM OTHER DOCTORS IN HER OWN BUILDING.! However, she DID find my husband, who later suffered unnecessary pain because of her incompetence to be fine.

She was extremely rude, not helpful. Didn’t want me to get my asthma medicine don’t recommend. There’s a reason she has low reviews all over the internet!

So I went to see my doctor and let me tell you she was rushing to see me. She was in & out of rooms. Horrible just horrible. So today she missed diagnosed me. She reviewed my labs with me and said it was all within normal range and to come to found out my hemoglobin A1C was high!!! I am now a diabetic and have to see an endocrinologist today. I'm done with this office. That doesn't count to say that front receptionist Evelyn is bad just bad when I walked into the office first thing I saw is her on her phone and not even greeting me. Talk about HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Horrible staff!! Save your time and go somewhere else.

Horrible. This doctor just tries nickel and dime you and juice your insurance. She will also belittle you as a patient. And she is also not thorough with physicals. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to friend.

Horrible horrible doctor!! If I can give her NEGATIVE ZERO stars I would. She does not deserve to be a doctor she gives horrible advice that my 4 year old can probably give me. All she cares about is her stupid supplements & hormone treatment that gave my sister in law cervical cancer. She has a new "office manager" Leticia that knows NOTHING about billing. I asked her a question about my bill and all she said was "oh I'm sorry about that I'll talk to the billers" she promised me a call back and never did. This office is horrible with answering calls. I know how the system works. I've been an RN for 9 years and let me just give you this one advice. DO NOT COME HERE. Front & back staff were wonderful. That's the only positive thing I can say... Office manager and Dr need to learn some customer service but this place ain't it.

I was a patient for Dr.Armenta for 5 years. I only visited her maybe 3 times during this time. I would describe that she is very unprofessional personnel. she doesn't have a right to call herself as medical professional, specially a doctor. what she does it's only a business at her clinic. when you go there it feels like 3d studio. Scam clinic. As soon as told her that I'm not satisfied with her service, she refused on me, she rejected my MRI authorization and hung up the zoom screen on me. afterwards she called police on me. LOL.

Worst Dr ever. Requires office visit every 3 months just to refill prescriptions. She only cares about money. Always trying to push her overpriced so called natural remedies. We had a disagreement and she dropped me as a patient. She is refusing to refill my prescriptions for a couple more months. A new patient appointment with. New Dr are running three months out and I don’t have enough medication to get me there. Do not go to this Doctor. Very unethical

A new patient Dr appt takes about 3 months and she refuses to give me a couple more refills. I will be out of my blood pressure meds in about a week. Do not go to her
