called to make an appt for my 14 yr old today and was refereed by another doctor and was refused an appointment and told the reason was because Dr. Patel has the "right" to refuse giving medical attention to patients under the age of 16. I tried looking that up on the internet and could find absolutely nothing stating a doctor is within their right to deny medical attention to a minor under 16 yrs old??? has anyone heard of this? I have 4 kids and have never been denied medical attention for any of them up to this point. my 14 yr old is my youngest and I have 3 older kids ranging from 18-23 yrs old. shocked to say the least and disappointed and not even sure this is ethical or allowed
