Waited 1-1/2 hours to be seen for 2 minutes. He and his Resident need to have better bed aide manner and not rush out of an appointment leaving patient with unanswered questions. Awful experience. Will absolutely not be going there for follow up. Remember patients are PEOPLE. It’s all about respect.

Went to office for body scan and two young female interns came in,did not get the doctor.they did not do a thorough exam no where near what I wanted.needed a spot checked on my cheek,was told to make another appointment.i will make another appointment but not there..not happy

I've been seeing Dr. Rao for skin checks for years, a family member had melanoma which makes me worried. He looks at all of my moles with a magnifying device, and tells me which ones can just be watched and which ones need to be biopsied (which is a rare occasion). my husband now comes to him for skin checks also.

VERY BAD. MISDIAGNOSED MY CONDITION AND ALMOST LOST MY NOSE.

HORRIBLE experience. He refused to take my concerns seriously and misdiagnosed me. A subsequent visit with another doctor eventually diagnosed me correctly through blood tests and a skin biopsy. Don't waste your time going to him. I wish I took the advice of many here who wrote reviews, but I went to him with an open mind hoping things might be different for me. Sadly, they were not.

Dr. Rao, the head of RWJ Dermatology, is simply not ethical and patently disrespects his patients. Dr Rao saw me on the day of my appointment despite my appointment being made with another RWJ dermatologist. The latter was covered by my insurance; Dr Rao was not. I did not realize since I had never been to RWJ. Even though RWJ's bait and switch was at fault, Dr Rao did nothing to resolve this issue despite me disputing the charge for over a year, forcing me to pay my entire bill out of pocket.

I went to dr Rao because I had not had a skin check in over a year and discovered something on my face that was suspicious. I waited 25 min in the exam room. He looked at my face.. And said he would be back. When he came back he removed something on My cheek, did not address the area of my concern . When I asked for a body check he said we had done it already. A week later at another do 5 suspicious areas were removed from my face, chest and back. All were precancerous. Scary

They make you wait about 1 month to get an appointment with Dr. Rao. Then when you go to see him, some other Dr. sees you and you have redo your history, then she gets Dr. Rao who make s a cameo 2 minute appearance. He doesn't talk to you the patient but gives instructions to the other Dr who then executes it. They move fast, talk fast and always in a hurry.

Spent 2 minutes with me. I called three weeks ago to say my skin condition is reappearing, I was told Dr. Rao was on vacation, is he still on vacation? Still waiting for a return call!!! Also, gave me phototherapy without clearing with my insurance, DON'T SEND ME A BILL!!!!

He did not spend any time with me. He did not thoroughly review my history or current situation. When asked a question, he referred me to his physicians assistant and said she would answer my question. Horrible and waste of time. My prescriptions were confusing; she stated one would be for the morning and the other for the evening. They was both send to the Pharmacist as morning medications. The Pharmacist sated the Doctor must have made a mistake. Called but have not received a call back yet.
