Staff was nice, sadly Dr. Vu was extremely judgemental even though I was more than willing to taper down on my meds. I had a bone tumor, and surgery on my hip as well (among other conditions) and she treated me like a full fledged junky, didn't listen, and made ultimatums. ALL in the first visit. Even my primary care Doctor said that she sounded very rigid, and judgemental. For those that love her ; great. I have suffered years of pain and have never tried to get my former Doctor to increase my dose. I will give her one more tey, then if her manner and willingness to listen doesn't improve I won't be back.
Hes the best in Lake County for pain management
As a nurse who has been taking care of patients for over ten years in critical care and emergency settings, it is my responsibility to be a patient advocate no matter what. Dr. Pope is the opposite of that. He made an inaccurate diagnosis that had significant ramifications without ever discussing it with me (I found out from my chart). I attempted to communicate about it with him to have a conversation... I literally called his office more than ten times, with additional emails and even showed up in the office. He ghosted me for over a month, and the diagnosis was only changed because I started bringing up legal patient rights. His scribe changed the diagnosis and I NEVER heard from Dr. Pope himself. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable for a healthcare provider and is dangerous to the patients. I would strongly encourage you to see other providers.
If it weren’t for Dr. Pope I don’t know where I’d be. I suffer from chronic pain from an injury to my neck and shoulders. He is very pleasant and very sincere. I am so grateful to him and his wonderful staff.
I was having lots of anxiety about having to go to pain management but after meeting Jason Pope and his team they put my anxiety at ease. Jason aka Dr. Pope treated me like we were "old friends" and was very attentive to my pain needs. I highly recommend Evolve Restorative Center if your in the need of pain management!
Dr. Pope helped me so much. He came up with a plan in one visit that no one else had come up with, and made it so easy for me to start feeling better. Finally I am starting to get relief. His staff are so friendly and caring too. A great experience so far, highly recommend.
A wonderful Doctor. He really is the best in his field. Right from the start he listened to me and made feel seen. His staff at the new location on Aviation Blvd are always so helpful and friendly too, if he cannot see me I speak with one of the nurses or physician assistants- they take great care of me.
Such a great Doctor! He explained everything and gave me a plan to follow. His staff even checked in on me to see if I was OK during COVID. Everyone there really cares.
Dr Pope has helped me tremendously with my back pain, he has it controlled very well. I would highly recommend him if you have tried other pain Dr’s with out any relief.
Terrible. This entire place is a hack job that's only goal is to bill insurance companies. Proceed at your own risk.
Don't ever have procedure done on Friday. If a problem there is no one to help you. After finally tracking him down on sat., I was given no help at all. Was absolutely miserable until Monday when informed what had been done incorrectly and that you would probably get no help on weekends. Unbelievable that a DOCTOR would leave you with no alternative but to suffer from Friday to Monday. Shame on you, DR. Pope.
virtual meetings are problematic. don’t get why? never received a lonk invite
As nervous as I was having to meet another Dr., Dr. Pope and his office staff were incredibly kind and helpful
Nice guy, but that’s about it going for him as a doctor.
Dr. Pope and associates are the most professional, kind, open hearted, woke people. They are accurate and attentive to my needs and they see I get the care that I need. Thank you for getting me walking again. Thank you For helping me manage my pain and keep an active life style. You all are the best!
Fabulous doctor & fabulous staff...he is a model for other doctors on bedside manner & true patient care & compassion. He is an amazing doctor that has been a God send to my husband and I.Communication over the phone can be strenuous though as you have to leave a message & wait for a returned call which I have not received on several occasions. However, knowing Dr. Pope he is most likely working on a better solution for incoming & outgoing phone calls.Besides the minor hiccup with phone communication, he is an amazing doctor who wholeheartedly cares about his patients & taking care of them to the best of his ability.
I seen doctor Pope about a year and a half ago. He is an amazing doctor and has very good bedside manner. But I sadly I couldn’t stay with his office. I have been on my medicine for 15 years at such a low dose and it gave me my life back I never had to go up on it and I was good at the dose I was at, I could be a mom and do mom things with my children! But every since the cdc made the mistake of the cdc gidelines doctors are terrified to help those in need! I’m working with a wonderful group called don’t punish pain rally and we are hoping for next years new cdc gidelines will help. Let’s pray. But back to why I quit going to popes well I was on a very not so high dose of medicine that worked wonderful. But as soon as I started seeing pope of course the first thing was to lower my dose and keep lowering it! I couldn’t let that happen I have 5 wonderful kids that need me and I will not be treated like a drug seeker when all the drug addicts are still getting what they want but us who truly suffer it’s a war! Now I’m stuck on a low dose because it got lowered so my regular doctor just kept it that way. Now I’m trying to look for a new pain doctor out of the area.. but besides all that doctor pope is a very nice man. I understand doctors can only do so much so I try to understand their side of the rode as well but hopefully things will change..
This doctor is the Bomb! He has been working HARD with me for about 3 years on various pain issues! He doesn’t give up! Even participating in saving my live in 2020 emergency hospitalization❣️Kind, very intelligent, qualified pain Doc! I believe if YOU CARE he will be there for YOU!! Talk to 😄him!! I believe he can and will do his very best to work with you!! Try em you’ll like him! Seriously 😒
I have been trying to understand the way this office functions for almost a year with all calls going to voicemail 99 percent of the time and when you have an appointment your medical background is Never discussed or reviewed by your physician who wants to plan ahead epidurals and a stimulator to control painwhen your surgeon of 14 years who has been Nominated as one of the Best Top Ten Spine Surgeons in the US by the Medical Journal of Medicine that my surgeon is wrong and that he Dr. Pope is right and knows what he is doing is apsolutly CRAZY 😦 then tells me to find another pain specialist, he won't work with me. This is a Not Right!!!
My girlfriend was so happy Dr. Pope was opening a office in Lakeport. She heard great things about him. She's had a pain pump for 6yrs. Her original doctor had retired. He ordered an MRI for both neck and back. When he filled the pump he never even looked at her MRI until she asked him too. Anyway, she just recently has a chronic tearing of the labrum from front to back of her shoulder. It took over a week to see him and when she did, he didn't even look at the MRI. He walked in the room with a big smile and asked how she's doing. Now mind you, you have to fill out an evaluation form on how you feel before you get there, pain level etc. I've seen her in pain many times unfortunately, and know when she's really hurting. Doctor Pope gave her a shot that made her almost jump off the chair. He had to repeat the shot. She came home in tears due to the pain from the shot he gave her. She was in so much pain for two hrs after the treatment. She went to bed because she felt no relief, didn't even eat. Today she's in so much pain she can't even close the front door of her car or put her seat belt on. I understand that people abuse opiates for other reasons then pain but, when necessary they should be provided to help someone in pain. I've been with her for 10 yrs and have never seen her careless with pain pills. Yes, she is to active for her age and has more injuries then I've ever had but, that's her. That doesn't mean she should have to suffer. I just wish Dr. Pope would give her some meds to help her through before surgery. She has suffered enough. Doctor Pope you don't walk on water and never will. I hate to say this but, if and when you get injured badly, I wonder if you would avoid pain meds.
