This is for both Dr. Escalada and Dr. Cadang. They just have very BAD business practices. For example, they require you to make an appointment to give you test results when at kaiser they literally post it for you to see online within a few days. Withholding test results is AGAINST THE LAW. They require an appointment for EVERYTHING! Test results? Signature for a form? You need an appointment. And every appointment means more money in their pockets. My dad was a patient for almost 20 years and needed to switch doctors because he now lives in Vallejo in a memory care facility. When my mom asked for a refill mind you this was when he was STILL a patient and had not switched care he made a comment asking my mom WHY SHOULD I REFILL IT if hes leaving my practice? He was trying to make my mom feel bad for asking for a refill because he felt that it was UNFAIR for him to lose a patient. Well, isnt it UNFAIR to my dad to get dementia and need to live at a facility? Like who do you think you are???? When I was 20 Dr. Escalada gave me an unsolicited lecture about boys and to be careful because they only want one thing. Thank you for your concern, but I hardly think its appropriate for a doctor to lecture about that there was nothing medical about it at all. What does my personal life have to do with you? Theres never an appointment same day so if youre sick today you probably be better by the time you go to your appointment. They are pharmrep DRUG PUSHERS and always want you to take the expensive medication. I honestly feel like they are RIPPING OFF the Filipino community because all I see in there are older Filipino people who just listen to what they say and never question anything. Yes they speak Tagalog but it doesnt mean they are the best doctors to go to. Its not like there are no other Tagalog speaking doctors around. My advice is to keep looking for another doctor and dont even consider this place!
Dr. Escalada gave me proper annual checkups for my overall physical health and referred me to a nice nurse practitioner for womens healthcare. I have seen her for about 18 years, but I made an ultimate decision to find myself a new primary care physician for 2 significant reasons:For the past 3 years, whenever I had an appointment with Dr. Escalada, the bills were disorganized. For every appointment I had with her, I received at least two bills in the mail with information that could have been put into a single bill. I once got 2 bills for something I already paid for, as confirmed by the front desk.I wasted so much time and money because of Dr. Escalada. For the most part, Dr. Escalada referred me to specialists that I never needed to see. She checked areas of my body where I never felt pain or anything of concern, yet she often claimed that there was something in my body to be concerned about. Specialists had fast and easy appointments with me because there was nothing in my body to be concerned about at all. When I did have health concerns that I could feel on my own, I told Dr. Escalada about them. She could not determine almost precisely what was going on in my body, and she usually ended up referring me to the wrong doctors.
My son went to her. Left very frustrated. He had to take off from work and he waited over an hour past his appointment time to be seen, then she lectured him on the importance of being on time! She was rude, wanted to refer him to a bunch of specialists with no consideration for his budget and his copays are high. He needed a prescription refilled so she had him do the blood work (no problem) but refused to give him the prescription unless he came back for another appointment, making him lose work time again. Now he needs meds and cant get them unless he takes off work again for which he will not be paid, when I could pick up the prescription for him. She had an attitude like my way or the highway.
Just when I thought theres some improvement in the wait time because I only had to wait 20 minutes before I got called in, I waited over 30 minutes after my exam because I was made to wait for nothing!!! Dr. Escalada told me to get dressed and she will see me after to discuss lab work and new prescriptions. I waited at least 30 minutes and still no sign of her, so I left the exam room and asked a staff member how much longer I had to wait. The staff member came in a few minutes later and just handed me the paper work. Grrrrr.....wasted my time again!!! My appointment was at 10:15. I was there till past 12pm.Also, shes been my primary care physician since mid2000 yet on my last visit she asks me whether Im married and if I have kids...dafuq!?!
Personally my dad was her drug rep, but as patient she sometimes doesnt give the right advice. There are better doctors out there. As a person shes very friendly.
I wanted to give her four stars because I think shes a good doctor, but Im a relatively healthy patient who only needs to see her once or twice a year so I really do not know the extent of her capabilities as a physician other than the usual annual physical exam. So Ill just give her an AOK for now. However, if she can do something about the patients wait time, I will not hesitate to give her an extra star. I really hate that I have to wait at least half an hour every single time I come to visit. Why cant the nurses or medical assistants just take my vital signs and do the patient screening right away? I wonder how different a medical practice is from a dental practice? At my dentists office, I am seen on time all the time. I appreciate how they respect and value my time. I wish I can say the same thing with Dr. Escaladas office.
I will never come back to see dr. escalada. She will reap off your money or your insurance money instead of to be a respectfull Doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
