Nice, but I'm severely disappointed. After crown failure that lead nerve damage and a root canal later that developed an infection, they refused to give refund. Endodontist told me she'd refund if the root canal failed. The dentist said "no," but I insisted after saying I now have an infection, and he reluctantly agreed. Afterwards, I called and the "manager," who refused to give the refunds. Had the audacity to ask why I wouldn't trust them with implants after 2 failed procedures (and he would be "nice enough" to use that money as credit). Also, he claimed they charged me for the onlay price and not crown price and mentioned I got second crown for free post-root canal (an investigation from insurance company ongoing about both. seems dubious).

Nice however when a failed procedure occurred (that he admits) he will not give refund and leaves you on your own to either get more from him or lose that money and go somewhere else.

On 10/30/19, Dr Oates from Hermosa Smiles Dentistry, replaced a filling that fell out (2392) and charged $284. I was told it was not covered by insurance because there was no decay and it was cosmetic. It was covered by Liberty Dental Plan with a $40 copay. It took 3.5 months to get a refund. A Liberty investigation, reviewed by the DMHC, determined that there was no fraud or misrepresentation, which are violations of the Dental Practice Act. The Dental Board recommended getting a civil disposition.

So I knew I needed a filling replaced and was putting it off because I hate that ill-fitting tempory filling dentists use while the mold that will actuallu fit the interior of your tooth is being made. Dr. Oates introduced me to the tools and universe of modern dentistry. My old dentist in Manhattan Beach did not have digital xray machines(exposes you to far less radiation), and the abiltiy to make the filling in five minutes! I felt like I was in a sci-fi movie: Dr.Oates put a camera attached to a small probe all around and in the inner cavity of my tooth that took hundreds of photos. This information was fed to a screen in front of me where i could view intense CGI images of my tooth from every angle. The information was also feed to a miling machine where I was able to watch my filling being made in five minutes! Wow! I am a busy person and having one less appointment is huge. And Dr. Oates is a likable MCHS and USC grad. I highly reccomend!
