List of Altamed Medical And Dental Group - Huntington Beach's Reviews
I've been a patient here for over 7 years. I've been seeing Dr. Dang as my primary care physician for about 5 years. My back has been my medical issue for the past 5 1/2 years. I had surgery in August of 2025. Lumbar fusion, alif/plif. Serious surgery with a 6-18 month recovery period. I am at 7 months, with complications. My deep lower back muscles and right glue muscles are in severe pain. I have been taking oxycodone for the severe level 7 pain. I'm struggling with my day to day duties. I care for a 6 year old also. My ortho surgeon has been prescribing the pain meds as I wait for my pain management appointment in August for trigger point injections. He advised me to go to my PCP for pain meds and a different pain management referral for pain meds while I wait for the appointment in August, which I probably will be healed up by then. Today, I spoke with my PCP of over 5 years. He calls me and said this is Dr. Dang and just stays silent. No "how are you doing" or "how can I help you" and he's been this way for maybe about a year. He told me he's not comfortable with prescribing me oxys. That I should ask my ortho to keep prescribing it. He has that right to do so, that's not my issue with him. My issue is his lack of sympathy. He told me he can lose his license if he prescribes them to me. Which I doubt, he's not prescribing opioids every day or even weekly he could have done it for me until I'm able to get into pain management. He had zero care for me being in severe pain and just cared about how it affects him. You can say no, and still have compassion for your patient in pain. I have been in chronic pain for 5 1/2 years, had severe spine surgery 7 months ago, and am now having severe muscle pain. I have been so strong dealing with all this that takes a tole on my mental health. He has zero empathy knowing all of this. He treated me cold and unprofessional. He hung up without even saying I hope you feel better soon. Nothing. He treated me like a nuisance. I did not choose to have complications. I am genuinely in pain and work very hard with PT and nutrition to get my muscles stronger. And being on pain meds helps me get through PT and daily duties. He didn't even ask me how PT is going, I truly got nothing from a doctor who I have been seeing for over 5 years who has known how much I have suffered, for him to treat me this way was inhumane. I hung up and started crying. I struggle to stay strong and positive and for him to have no empathy I was hurt. He shouldn't be a doctor if he's going to treat his patients like they are a nuisance. I complained to my insurance network and will be seeing a new PCP. Dr.Dang you have chosen the wrong profession to work in. You don't deserve to care for patients in need of help and support. Find something else to do since you're so scared of prescribing oxys to your 5 1/2 year patient who is waiting to be seen by pain management. And if you're going to say no, you can still have basic human kindness to wish me well.
I've been coming here since I was 22, I am now 35. I don't think I can move to any other clinic to be checked. Doctors, staff are all amazing. All my visits have been wonderful. I also had my ultrasounds here when I was pregnant, had my baby's check ups here. Dr. Dang, Dr. Goli and Dr. Diem Nguyen have been my providers in certain cases and all I can say is, I'm VERY thankful for them, along with the assistants, front office etc. The best team I can ask for!
The absolute worst . They make you wait for 1-2 hours after you arrive for your appointment. The worst clinic , don't go here if you can help it.
I have 3 kids that go here and I have asked for 2 out of 3 of my kids name spellings to be corrected and they still haven't done it but my 3rd child's name is correct because my children's 3rd letter of each of their first name is capitalized for instance my daughter is SkIlee not Skilee my son's name is KrYstian not Krystian and my youngest is MaYllyn and they have hers spelled fine but not the other 2 which I told them the way to spell their names when I started going here 4 years ago with my oldest
Telehealth appointment with Sidney Wu today was a breath of fresh air. I felt like be really listened to my symptoms, and explained the rationale and details about every prescription he wrote up for me. I appreciated the time he took to listen and give me options on course of action after offering his suggestions then letting me decide what course I wanted to take. Highly recommend this doctor for both his knowledge, communicativeness and personable demeanor. Awesome doctor Their system has been down so it's taken 2 weeks to schedule an appt but dealing with Dr. Wu made the wait worthwhile.
Appoiment on time
The worst place, the lady at the counter was very rude. If you do not like your job just quit, so simple Poor service.
Unfriendly staff, incompetent and rude.
Hello! I've been coming to AltaMed for years now, and they're really great for same day emergency and urgent care appointments! Mainly I want to highlight my experience at the new AltaMed Dental office on the second floor (2100 Main Street, HB) I recently fell and hit my front two teeth which have been having sensitivity, and about a week later, the color of one of them started to change! I was really freaked out and did a walk-in because I have been trying to get into the dental wing for close to 3 years without success yet (for a dental cleaning), but was hoping for an emergency they could make an exception and see me today. I was right! Not only did they take me in and had me back in the chair in 35 minutes but I was immediately given a referral to endo. I can't be happy enough with how professional DDS Miriam Fidal, the front desk receptionist Angelica Corona, and the assistant to Dr. Fidal were! So caring, professional and kind! I wish I would have asked for the assistant's name, I went in on 11/26/2025, she had light brown/dark blonde short hair in a pony tail and spoke Spanish also; she reassured me my situation is so stressful and showed great empathy by saying she got hit on her front tooth with a seatbelt which also changed color, and therefore she knows how traumatic it is to have a tooth die. Not any dental office would be willing to allow a walk-in and send a referral without a "primary dentist" being seen first, I know as a hygienist it's unlikely to even see a dentist the same day if there is no space in their schedule or if you're not a patient of record (if they're not taking new patients). I am so grateful that my primary care medical office also has a dental branch. Only complaint is the wait time to get in for a cleaning, but having been able to be seen through an emergency regardless, erases any frustration I've had waiting on the waitlist for years. Thank you ALL!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
