Huntington Beach Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I came to ER after suffering chest pains with an extensive cardiac history so along with other medical conditions I was admitted and I am literally here now treatment in ER was great from start to being admitted that is where the horror has begun to the point I asked to see a house supervisor that's when my nurse brought a male tech in with her who informed me I was not seeing a house supervisor and if I didn't like it to sign AMA so what do you do at this point...I wanted to add to my review so all staff is not bad but please do not bring your

We brought my mom into the hospital because she had shortness of breath and was feeling dizzy. In about 90 minutes they had her a room and about in 60 minutes later they had a doctor examine her. He wasn’t rushed he didn’t take shortcuts he went through all of the testing that he needed to do to reassure us. He ordered a CAT scan and because there were so many unanswered questions, he kept her for observation! I can’t say enough about how thorough they were and thankful they did not make us feel like we are part of an assembly line!

Please avoid going to Huntington Beach hospital ER. I totally regret going there... The way I was treated was horrible! After I got a shut for my pain, being somewhat out of it, the nurse told me I was done and needed to leave, next thing I found my self on a wheelchair outside the hospital in the cold of the night! This had never happened to me before!Please look elsewhere if you need to visit an ER...

I came to ER for the first time to this hospital. I was seeing right away. The nurses were very helpful and kept priorities in line as my throat was very swollen. I was seeing by MD immediately and transferred to another hospital after I was stable. Leticia was my nurse in ER. She was awesome!! Thanks.

There's one person who stood out to me she was the most rudest woman I've ever met she rolls her eyes at you when yuh ask her a question slams paperwork down on the desk always telling her cO workers to shut up and not to bother her I asked her name and she said it was none of my business so I had asked a coworker of hers and her name is kelsie gonzales people like her should not be working in a hospital where there should be compassionate caring people as long as she works here for emergency needs I'll go elsewhere she needs to be fired I looked her up on social media and she smokes weed and takes care of people really want your loved ones taken care of by someone who's never sober I strongly believe she should be working away from people and not at a hospital

Ended up in the emergency room with a broken ankle and everyone was so kind, helpful and fun to be around. They answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to help me get comfortable!

I would give a zero if I could. This hospital is a joke. Do not go here, you will regret it. Worst staff, rude and very unprofessional.

The way Huntington Beach Hospital treats its mental health patients is horrific, degrading, & disrespectful. The living conditions are abysmal, patients are forced to take cold showers. Yes, you heard that correctly, none of the available showers produce hot water. This is ridiculous for many reasons, but to have this issue persist during the middle of winter is completely inexcusable. I'm assuming the water heater is broken? So why hasn't a plumber been hired to resolve the issue? Money can not be the issue! Since a majority of patients in the psych ward cannot advocate for themselves, ir have families to raise the issue, staff doesn't seem to care.

After waiting 6 hours to be seen for chest pains I just walked out.... The EKG came back fine but that doesn't mean my issue isn't important. Terrible customer service. Never again.

What fantastic service. I arrived at HB Hospital having cut my toe off. The doctor (Dr Al-Sayyad) X-ray tech and nursing stuff (Monica and he team mates) were simply amazing. They could not have been more attentive or made a bigger effort to make me feel comfortable. They checked in on me regularly and gave me detailed advice on what to do post discharge. dr Al-Sayyad stitched me up explained everything and also checked in with me multiple times. I could not me more grateful for these awesome people !!Thank you !!
