Dr. Sebag has once again given me the gift of improved vision with a Yag laser membranotomy to clear vitreous membrane in my left eye. As always Dr. Sebag was meticulous performing this procedure. I am extremely pleased with the sharp clear vision I once again have in my left eye. I can read freeway signs and my cell phone/computer screens are now in focus. Over the last two years Dr. Sebag performed a Vitrectomy in both my eyes to clear floaters. My floaters were extremely annoying and having them gone helps me concentrate and enjoy what I see. I highly recommend Dr. Sebag and his staff for floaters and complex eye issues.
I’m 47 and HAD BEEN suffering with dense floaters for 8 years. Dr. Sebag performed a limited vitrectomy on my left eye earlier this year and more recently, Dr. Gui, did the same on my right. My only regret is that I did not do this sooner. The entire experience, from initial consultation, the recording of diagnostic metrics on my vision pre and post-op, to the follow up check-up was all top notch. I am deeply grateful for the science that Dr. Sebag and his colleagues have created around his limited vitrectomy procedure and how he has data to support its efficacy. What led me to Dr. Sebag was the fact that he has successfully mitigated the risk of forming a cataract after such procedures – again, with long term patient data to support this. One last item I’d like to point out: Dr. Sebag has created the science behind his procedure. Vision is precious. If I have a choice of going to someone who is simply trained to perform a procedure versus going to the one who created the science behind the procedure and who is actively furthering that science – the choice is clear. No pun intended. Thank you Dr. Sebag, Dr. Gui, Mr. Yee and staff for what you do. Thank you Dr. Sebag for listening to floater sufferers and working to provide solutions that offer superior outcomes.

Dr. Sebag recently performed surgery (cryogenic) on my left eye due to a torn retina. If he didn't find the problem eventually my retina would have detached. He was extremely professional and I'm proud to say I'm healed. Thanks so much Dr. Sebag. World class doctor.
Extremely professional, results exactly as explained. Dr. Sebag spent a great deal of time explaining the process, the risks, and the expected result. I was prepared for the surgery and it was successful without any complications. It is wonderful to be able to see so clearly again.I highly recommend Dr. Sebag. He is very patient, precise and skilled.
Dr. Sebag performed surgery on my friend's eyes that were in bad shape due to floaters. My friend had an excellent result for each eye and said she got her life back after the surgery. The doctor and staff were knowledgeable and professional.
He is excellent!!
If you want to take care of your floater problem once for all, you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Sebag. But don’t just take my own word for it. Do your own research and educate yourself before the surgery on your own. He published a lot of research papers about vitrectomy and floaters. Dr. Sebag will also educate you and explain everything up front before the surgery. I am very happy with results overall. It did improve quality of my life because I can see everything much more clearly now.

As a practicing dentist having perfect eyesight is important to both me and my patients. Dr Sebag treated me for a retinal pucker in one eye and floaters in the other. After 2 separate 10 minute procedures I can see everything crystal clear. For me the procedures were simple without any discomfort and the positive results were immediate. If you are in need of any medical procedures you want someone who has done 100’s not just a few. Dr Sebag literally “wrote the Book” on the subject.
As a practicing dentist you can imagine how important perfect eyesight is to me and my patients. I sought out the best treatment and provider available for a retinal pucker in one eye and floaters in the other. All of my research lead to Dr Jerry Sebag and The VMR Institute. After 2 separate 10 minute procedures my vision is crystal clear. The treatment was discomfort free and the positive results were immediate. After 30+ years of providing quality patient care, I can say that as the patient I was cared for by Dr Sebag, his staff and his surgical center with the utmost in professionalism.
It's been almost a year since my vitrectomy. Was referred by a doctor I trust, but turned out to be one of the worst mistakes of my life. Procedure left me blind (temporarily, thank goodness) via a total hemorrhage in that eye,due to that procedure, and it took two other doctors and six months to recover. On one follow-up visit, I was told the wrong drops had been put in my eye, then that was covered up. That eye was dilated 100 hours and I was snowblind in it. I never went back....I was lucky to find someone else who listened to my concerns, who was not condescending or aggressive in his behavior, and who treated staff and patients with respect.
Dr. Sebag treated me and my condition (floaters) accurately and carefully. He told me my options and what he could do. I decided to have a fov. It was done with much care by all who treated me. The results were everything I could have hoped for. I will have the other eye done in a few months. Had this stuff in my eyes for 12 years and thought I would finish my time on this earth looking thru globs, strings and clouds. Many thanks to Dr. Sebag for what he did for me.
Dr. Sebag did a fov on my right eye, everything was done in the best manner. The results were the best. I can see again with all the floaters gone, all gone, I can see. Dr. Sebag knows his stuff and is a no nonsense guy. My other eye will be done in about 3 mo. Can't thank him enough.
Dr. Sebag removed floaters from both of my eyes. He was patient, educated me about the problem and process, and follow up care is exceptional. He is an compassionate and innovative surgeon. Check out his presentations on line.

I recommend Dr. Sebag without hesitation. I have a rare connective tissue disease that few doctors know about. When I met Dr. Sebag and shared my concern with how it could cause loss of my vision, he knew of it immediately...I was very impressed. I am now entering my 4th year of bi-monthly injections and intensive eye examinations, all of which have been executed with the utmost in skill level and with personal interest for my well being...in fact, it has always been a hallmark of his interaction with me... to listen to my concerns and to explain what he is doing to give me the best treatment for my problem, I appreciate this attention and the high level of expectation he has for himself and his staff.
Dr. Sebag at the VMR institute in Huntington Beach gave me back my life. He is definitely a leader in his field. I have been suffering from floaters in both eyes for almost 7 years. I am otherwise a very healthy 69 year old female that is very active and have no other medical conditions, but these dense floaters were negatively affecting my quality of life in every aspect. I did my research all these years. I first tried the yag laser quite a few times and unfortunately in my case, it was not helpful to reduce my severe floaters. I was prepared to travel any where in the US to find a Retinologist that that was not only sympathetic to this vitreous floater condition, but one who was also very expert and knowledgabe and had performed many of these successful vitrectomies for floaters only and I actually did . I was very thankful when we found out about Dr. Sebag. He has written the book on the Vitreous and he is an amazing clinician documenting every aspect of his research and procedures with his clients. I had my first vitrectomy in Oct. of 2016 and just had my 2nd eye done in Feb. 2017. His assistants were wonderful, and he is very expert. He is a very qualified doctor and takes his profession very seriously. The surgery center was wonderful and my eye patch was only on overnight. The surgery lasted no more than 15 or 20 minutes with no pain at all. I was out eating at my favorite restaurant immediately afterwards. He is currently presenting his research and documenting all his surgeries to retinologists and opthamalogists all over the country so hopefully sooner than later they will come to understand that floaters can impact ones quality of life just as much as cataracts and macular degeneration in many cases and patients need to be heard, validated, and treated. It takes so much time to change the mindset of Dr.s, but we desperately need more Physicians like Dr. Sebag to be in the forefront of this important shift in dealing with Vitreous Floaters. My husband, family, grandkids , and friends, thank you Dr. Sebag from the bottom of our hearts for your expertise in clearing up my eyes. I am forever Grateful to you .Thankyou,Thankyou, Thankyou.
Dr. Sebag gave me back clear vision. I was told that I needed to see an ophthalmologist by my longtime optometrist when my vision could no longer be corrected with glasses. I went to a local ophthalmologist who told me I had macular pucker. I was referred to Dr. Sebag and was I glad that I was. In addition to the macular pucker problem, Dr. Sebag found that I also had a small tear in my retina. He was able to correct that immediately in his office which prevented a possible retinal detachment. I then had the surgery to repair the macular pucker and now have 20-20 vision in that eye.It has been three years since that surgery and I can't thank Dr. Sebag and his staff enough for the sight they have given me. In response to some of the other reviews I have seen here on Yelp, Dr. Sebag has always been very caring and kind to me and his staff during any of my appointments.
